Jonny's voice is the best it has ever been. Seems he's genuinely trying to turn his life around which is good to see. My girlfriend and I saw him in Melbourne a few weeks ago on his solo tour - some friends of ours brought their 3 year old daughter to the show and once Jonny saw his hype man Kyle Lucas playing with little Emerson, Jonny took her on stage and held her, sang to her for the majority of his set and basically treated her like his own daughter. I was reluctant to even go to the show because I expected to experience the douchery that Jonny is renowned for - however I was pleasantly surprised at how kind he actually was. It was such an intimate show and since then I've definitely re-evaluated him as a person.

@marchii I think the song is okay, I wouldn't say he sounds his best though, that's reserved for his late Emarosa/DGD days imo. In regards to him changing, he may be making attempts, but there are some things he has said lately that just reinforce his douchey-ness. For example, he tweeted about how he wished he could beat his ex-girlfriend or something along those lines. I don't care what the circumstances are, no one should joke about that. After that whatever remaining respect I had for him was lost. If he continues this kind of immature idiocy, he'll have to do something freaking amazing for another chance at redemption in my eyes.

I know he doesn't give a shit, but I'm entitled to my own opinion, just like anyone who likes him is entitled to theirs. Honestly, do you think he really cares if you like him? My point exactly.

actually, i'm sure a musician gives more of a shit about the guy who actually does like him, go to his shows, buys his music/merch etc. more so than the guy that "lost respect" after he got offended at his personal opinion in a half serious tweet lmao

it's called separating the art from the artist

Any artist should care about losing fans just as much as they care about gaining them. And I am
separating the art from the artist. I said I liked the song. Does that mean I want to actively support
him as a person? No. Hell, I posted the damn article, if I didn't care about the art I wouldn't have
shared it.

@ZachNyeScienceGuy after seeing him live recently, I can confidently say he is sounding better vocally than ever before, this may not be the best representation of that but it's clear when you hear him live that he actually gives a shit about performing now. I'm yet to see that post you were talking about, but from the experience I had at his gig I do believe he has changed. Old Jonny would have been a stumbling mess and would never of thought of interacting with the crowd the way he did - and above all, he was as sober as a nun.

He deleted the tweet, which was smart of him to do. But other people sub re-tweeted it. Two pieces
of evidence:

https://twitter.com/jonnycraig4L/status/469644896857780225

I'm also adding this one because Jonny re-tweeted it and I found it kind of disturbing:
https://twitter.com/alpacainataxi/status/469674636842512386

Adolescence can be so naive when they're around their idols...

Again, he may be making strides and some aspects of his personality may be improving, but this is...
bleh. I'll still listen to his music, if I like it, but the dude has lost a fan and supporter in me
atm.

this is decent but it doesn't feel like it has any substance until vic comes in. jonny overdoes most of his vocals and doesn't focus on memorable melodies enough

@MalleusMaleficarum I'm not using this song as an example of his improved voice, he's quite pitchy in the intro. However his live performances consist of the energy that had been lacking for some time. He has come a long way since this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hp2QO6vHkRU

his voice hasnt improved, sorry man. DBM and Relativity (even the Emarosa s/t) will not be topped in terms of sheer vocal display.
