Can't say I'm surprised. I've Been waiting for this announcement since The Upsides. Guessing Dan burnt out ideas writing about the shittiest years of his own life, so now we get to hear about this morose made-up motherfucker named Aaron. Excited.

Dan talked about learning to play guitar and replicating his idols (The Weakerthans, The Mountain Goats) but I thought he was just gonna dish out solo acoustic Wonder Years sets or write a ton of "Madelyn"/"Hey Thanks"/"I've Given You All"-type Wonder Years tracks or b-sides.
