Sugary Sweet Machines Debut

2014-04-22 by Nash J! | 15 Comments
Two-person experimental post-rock outfit, Sugary Sweet Machines, have announced the release
of their debut LP. It will entitled Tours of the Bleak, and will be streamed via
bandcamp.com on April 26, 2014.

Based in the US, Sugary Sweet Machines is formed by members of A Slow Descent and The
Phonies, taking industrial and ambient music in a more chaotic and violent direction than
their respective solo projects. Tours of the Bleak explores themes of mounting anger, devastation, and insanity in the midst of the apocalypse. The tone of the album is one both dark and reflective, becoming increasingly harsh as the album progresses.

In addition to the announcement of their LP, Sugary Sweet Machines has released a single to promote the album. The single, entitled "Long Walk Home," which will be the second track on
the album, is available for streaming via bandcamp. A music video for the song, created by
band member Erik Sheader-Smith, was released as well.

In case you don't know already, this is mine and laughingman22's band. We put a lot of effort into this over the past few months, so when this comes out on Saturday I would really appreciate it if you checked it out, it'll be streaming and available to download for free. For now, I hope you enjoy the single and video. Thanks for reading! :]

Thanks Yak! And you recognize the song from the demo version I played of it on plug back in January. In fact, three songs
here are based on my old demos.
