I'm not sure if I listened to something else than you guys, but I thought it was really good, and far "catchier" at least than the majority of stuff he's put out himself and most of Emarosa's stuff.
Musically it's still nothing special, but it's the most interesting backing he's had for ages.

I'm glad they made sure to show 'stuck between the voice and the echo' everytime he sang it.
I would have never known what he was saying without it.
