Fucking Flint and Detroit are the only reason Young Jeezy was choose.

| |
delaware knows whats up
| |
At least were not South Dakota

I'm proud to be from Minnesota considering we listen to good music while states surrounding us listen
to crap like Hinder and Stone Sour.
| |
"reliable"
| |
Everyone in SD listens to country idk where they are getting we like hinder
| |
I've never even listened to Florida Georgia Line
| |
who the fuck is Ginger Kwan
| |
Yeah haha this map screams bullshit. No way would Fall Out Boy, B.O.B., AWOLNATION, or Wiz Khalifa be any states favorite
| |
That's MTV for ya
| |
Who the fuck is Hillsong United?
| |
A Christian worship band.
| |
BLAKE SHELTON YEE HAW
| |
Just a hunch, but I would guess that over 50% of WA state has no idea who The Head and The Heart are.
| |
this should be funny
| |
The south is all country and rap and then Linkin Park pops in lol
| |
Hinder with South Dakota's a funny combo, thought it would be their native Oklahoma
| |
Yeah I call bullshit on this
| |
what formula did they do for this though
| |
This maps screams bullshit and here's why: Notice how all of the states each have fifty different artists, no state shares the same favorite artist. Besides, a downtempo artist who hasn't even charted in the US taking up the majority of listens in the most populated state in the country? Also, why Rush for Delaware? Why a southern hip-hop artist for Iowa? Why an east coast hip hop artist for Arkansas? Why The Shins for Missouri? Why Florida Georgia Line for Ohio and neither Florida nor fucking Georgia? Also, who the fuck listens to Hinder or David Guetta casually? And of all the fucking places to have put the only pop punk band on here, you had to put it on the most hick-infested state in the country? And how is it possible for Stone Sour to get more plays on a state than Slipknot? Also, half of the artists on this don't even get the slightest of airplay or have never been heard of before. The Head and the Heart? Ciara? The Naked and Famous? Dirty Heads? Eric Church? Kevin Gates? August Alsina? Miguel? The Civil Wars? Future? The Magnetic Zeros? Phish? Ginger Kwan? J Boog? Despite the obvious bullshit, this map did give me quite a laugh with Juicy J and Bruce Springsteen.

That article only has "The Most Distinctive". Here's favorite artists, I found on the blog. http://musicmachinery.com/2014/02/27/favorite-artists-vs-distinctive-artists-by-state/
| |
well, I was expecting Alabama to have someone much worse. The shit people listen to here smh
| |
rovert, that list makes a lot more sense
| |
@YourDarkAffected
maybe Alabama Shakes?
| |
Linkin Park, distinctive? Wow, Arizona must suck.
| |
This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen on the Internet, and I've seen a lot of Adam Downer material.
It's neither accurate nor funny.
| |
The popular artist is worse though, rap erywhere
| |
Only cool states are Delaware Illinois and Maine, other than that I pray for this country
| |
lol praying
| |
It's funny how Hinder are the 42nd most listened to band in South Dakota
but the 1154th most listened in the whole country
| |
How do you know that?
| |
you could say South Dakota is really hindering progress in this country
| |

| |
Guess im moving to delaware then...
| |
New Yorkers know nothing about Long Island music and its history
| |
Delaware has some fantastic taste
| |
Arizona too :P
| |
James Blake for NY, wow
| |
New Hampshire is Grateful Dead! go figure1
| |
Just so everyone knows, the map shows the bands that are relatively more popular in that state compared to other states, not the state's "favorite" band.
| |
grateful dead should be tho
| |
cuz theres a lot of bitching about the map being inaccurate
| |
this article has the "favorite" bands of each state http://musicmachinery.com/2014/02/27/favorite-artists-vs-distinctive-artists-by-state/
| |
where are they getting their stats from? grooveshark? lmfao
| |
lol could be all bullshit
| |
definitely bullshit
| |
nobody asked me for my vote that's all I know about this bullshit
| |
Wow, so many people accepting this map as fact. Also, why snarkily call Hinder and Stone Sour "metal"? Is anybody sincerely calling either of those bands metal? And why does it matter? Just enjoy what you enjoy.
| |
I think what set this off to me as complete bullshit was fucking Ciara and Stone Sour
ciara
ciara
| |
Oh hey, look another map with statistics whose representative power someone pulled out of their ass.
| |
wow what a shitty way you wrote this "news article"
| |
This is so dumb lmao. How can this even possibly make sense
| |
