I remember when these guys' videos were otherworldly. It's hilarious in itself how much they do not take themselves seriously anymore.

The part of the song where cory sings "...I was only waiting for the calm before the storm..." just gets me every time. Love it.

I think the shark just takes the place of the guy he ate. So if his name was Jack, the shark is now Jack and something is probably slightly offputting about him ever since he came into work today but somehow he has improved as an employee by being likeable.

I think this video is explaining how positive recognition in life will only put a target on your back. Certain people will follow your every move, waiting for you to slip up and second you do, they are right there to fix your mistake making you look immediately insignificant and consuming all of your progress.
