Josh Travis is a beast, but Glass Cloud has always been pretty meh. This is no exception. The rhythm is neat and the outro is cool, but, like Volumes, it is the same thing over and over again for far too long. It sucks because I liked The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza and Sky Eats Airplane. Oh well.

| |
I liked the album, but this song is really boring.
| |
^ yup samies
| |
These guys have so much potential. Hopefully the other songs are better.
| |
The song is alright, very much a Meshuggah clone sound though. I liked the album because it wasn't like that.
| |
This song is almost hilariously boring. I like the guitarist, but I have no idea what he thought he was doing here. He's got skills so I don't know why this song is 100% chugs. I had some interest in this band, and now it's gone.
| |
this guitar tone is beyond awful, and the song sucks
never liked this band.
| |
My soft spot for this band runs embarrassingly deep, and as such I think this song will become better in the context of the whole EP. Stupid choice of a single though.
| |
Guitar tuning is so loooooooooooooooow
| |
I bloc'd this track out of my head as soon as it finished. Just turrible. Turrible.
| |
They use 9 strings now.
| |
Wow, it sounds how I imagined a 9 string to sound!!
Still don't know if I like it though, sounds kind of muddy....
| |
The next big thing is a 10-string record!
| |
Isn't this that band that isn't good?
| |
I once thought they had some potential, but this is really bland.
| |
WTF nine strings?
| |
Can only hope josh travis actually fully utilizes the 9 string in the rest of the ep. Though if heavy is what they were going for then they got that down packed. That 9 sounds monstrous. A little muddy but monstrous nonetheless.
| |
That was actually pretty fucking terrible, waste of talent right hur
| |
Hopefully Jerry isn't ditching the cleans.
| |
Yeah his voice is sounding a little strained in this.
| |
That 9 sounds monstrous. A little muddy but monstrous nonetheless.
Axe FX 2 can't handle
| |
Pshhh this is way better than the last stuff.
Not enough gay singing for you guys?
There's always Periphery....
| |
A bit boring, but Jerry's screams are at least improving. Josh is such a better guitarist than this song shows.
| |
groovy but boring. better than their old shit though
| |
They only had one song from The Royal Thousand that I genuinely enjoyed. Maybe the rest of this new EP will be better.
| |
ivy and wine?
| |
If He Dies, He Dies. Just couldn't get into the rest of it for the most part.
| |
yeah that one and ivy and wine are pretty cool but everything else is a mess. really hate the guitar tone too, really muddy, sadly this song is too
| |
It just completely masks what Josh is playing, which is so disappointing. I like a wall of sound, but not when it just sounds like an overdriven rumble of indecipherable notes.
| |
yeah it sounds like listening to djent with your head underwater or something
| |
Yeah I really liked Ivy and Wine too. Also their Tears For Fears cover is enjoyable besides that part in the middle where the band spazzes out.
| |
the groove in the beginning of this is cool but the vocals sound so weak in comparison to the music
