Does not really sound like anything they've done before, way better than I hope You Suffer. Colour me impressed!

I am so frigging stoked. This was awesome, too. And his voice had an old fashioned goth rock vibe to it he's never quite achieved before.

When I first found this I just continued to play it on repeat since it never got boring. Nowhere near the best they've ever done, but very very nice

Far more impressed with this lyrically, to me this track combines the theme from Crash Love and the more somber tones of the older albums; seeing this live is going to be great.

First song was very good, this sounds like it would fit on the last two shitty albums.

Don't think this would have fit on Crash Love or Decemberunderground at all. Those two albums had a much different focus in sound.

Both the songs they have released for this album I feel will sound a lot better in the context of the full album. When I think about STS, Girls's like grey and the leaving song pt 2 were both singles and they were a couple of my least favorite tracks.. I still have very high hopes!

And calling those two tracks my least favorites is NOT a bash because STS is all awesome.

These two singles are also very promising, btw. I guess shitty album sales and fan reactions finally got their heads during studio time.

I believe AFI has one job: to make the album they want to make regardless of any fans crazy expectations. Sounds like that's what they are doing.

Everybody is saying they think these songs will be better in the album's context...am I the only one that views AFI songs as single things? I usually just listen to them on shuffle on my ipod or something, not an entire album start to finish...

It's pretty good but vocals are definitely way too polished.

There's a hypothesis that the track order on Sing the Sorrow should be different.

@Mabbit The leaving song part 1 should definitely come before part 2 and part 2 is the 2nd song on the album while part 1 is the 11th song. Also bleed black for some reason just sounds like an opening track to me. It does a great job highlighting what to expect on the album. Bleed Black starts with one of Havok's infamous "Ohhh"'s. The first few lines just sound like album opening lines too,

I am exploring the inside, I find it desolate
I do implore these confines, now, as they penetrate, "recreate me"

I just feel like that is the true beginning of the album.. AFI fans may just be looking way too far into it though.

There is a theory that the album starts with bleed black and comes around and ends at leaving song pt.2. Theory states that its about the process of reincarnation(337) and the after life or something like that.

I think the thing that made STS really great was the complexity of each song's composition. These new songs are a step
in the right direction, but they're kind of boring musically.

I don't think this alternate track listing it can ever be "pretty much confirmed" because it's all theory by fans. Unless it's specifically stated by the bands themselves, then it's just people pulling it straws about a supposed "mystery" the band created.
