Bibleversin' so hard

TDWP is awesome and September is shaping up to be amazing. TDWP, AFI, Moving Mountains, Touche Amore, Of Machines???, some other stuff too
|
| |
You can say you don't shove your religion down people's throats, but when you name your album after a
bible verse, you know you've gone too far. Edit: Not sure what I was trying to say here. Kind of
stupid.
|
| |
Yeah, I mean Mountain Goats named every song on one of his albums after a bible verse. What a sell out!
What the fuck guys.
Find something worth criticizing, not something that arbitrary.
|
| |
darn, the christian bashing is already here.
anyway, I enjoyed Dead Throne and Zombie so I'm looking forward to this.
|
| |
yeah the difference is that tdwp is shitty
|
| |
they have improved though, maybe they'll continue improving?
|
| |

you might be new but tdwp has always been open about being about the whole christian thing, and as far as i can tell they aren't out on the streets telling you to be christian, so unless you are being forced to buy their cd's i see nothing wrong with them doing what they have been doing since the beginning, screaming about their boners for god.
|
| |
The Dillinger Wescape Plan?
|
| |
you guys ready for round 3 of split tdwp threads
|
| |
Hope vox have improved since dead throne.
|
| |
It's not a biblical reference, it's the estimated time the zombies will flood the Earth.
Already making preparations.
|
| |
lol why
|
| |
@Fieryfenderz
;) hit the nail right on the head there my friend
|
| |
Their last album was decent. Kinda looking forward to this.
|
| |
I actually listen to a lot of religious bands, I mean fuckin Life in Your Way is as blatant as it gets, but I'm still gonna make fun of em for it. That's the American way ya know.
|

Will rule
|

Interesting. Will check this out.

Hope this is as good as Dead Throne.
|
| |
Should be good. I dont know why this site has such a problem with Metalcore bands.
|
| |
in all honesty though the band does have potential if they would JUST STOP PLAYING FUCKING CHUGDOWNS i mean c'mon
|
| |
I am very excited for this release.
|
| |
Going to be awesome.
|
| |
Can't wait to hear bible passages growled at me.
|
| |
zombie is the only thing i've liked by them, hopefully its more like that
|
| |
Excited. Dead Throne was a damn fine album.
|
| |
"You can say you don't shove your religion down people's throats, but when you name your album after a bible verse, you know you've gone too far."
who gives a shit...
|
| |
"You can say you don't shove your religion down people's throats, but when you name your album after a bible verse, you know you've gone too far."
who is "you"
They're mega christian no shit they're gonna have refgerences who the fuck cares. You gonna disregard an album based on 3 numbers and a colon?
|
| |
Thread rules. Album will be gay.
|
| |
That sample sounds tight and so do the two new songs that they've recently started playing live. Hopefully it's like a more
atmospheric zombie ep or a heavier dead throne because that's what it sounds like so far
|
| |
Will probably enjoy the music but want to punch the vocalist in the face, as usual.
|
| |
Hoping for more improvement.
|
| |
You mean it's NOT being released on August 18?!
|
| |
Lol
|
| |
I swear i've seen an article about their new album here before...
|
| |
You can say you don't shove your religion down people's throats, but when you name your album after a bible verse, you know you've gone too far.
this is so fucking idiotic, talking about your religion is not shoving it down your throat.
|
| |
"You can say you don't shove your religion down people's throats, but when you name your album after a bible verse, you know you've gone too far."
Marduk did that, too.
|
| |
Has potential to be good.
|
| |
"darn, the christian bashing is already here."
woah woah woah why are we bashing them for being christian when we can bash them for being so goddamn abysmal?
|
| |
Hooray
|
| |
album will rool
|
| |
band is boring as fuck
I love me some chuggin bands sometimes, but damn, I saw TDWP live and they were the most boring fucking band out, just wow
|
| |
I don't dig their music aside from a few songs but I could see them being great live.
|
| |
I really liked Dead Throne. Regardless of all the hate this band gets I feel like they're constantly maturing
|
| |
Zombie EP will be the best thing they ever do
|
| |
Roots crucified my boner. Dead Throne resurrected it and seated it at the hand side of his father. What will 8:18 do to it????
|
| |
I think GarlicBreath really likes this band
|
| |
i'm gonna write another 2.5 review for this and all the fanboys are gonna neg me again for having a differing opinion and using too many commas
|
| |
sounds awesome to me. i don't give a fuck about the religious aspect, and the music sounds great, so that's all i'm concerned with. besides, their lyrics are nowhere near as in your face christian as they were on something like With Roots.
it could be much worse. if you don't believe me, read some of the piss poor lyrics on that album.

The Zombie ep wasn't as consistent or as impressive as Dead Throne. The Zombie ep was awesome, it was tuned low, played fast, and atmosphere for days; The hooks weren't as strong, and the writing borrowed from itself (repetition became monotonous at times). Dead Throne dialed in the synth while at the same time giving it more meaning than ever with how well it tied the atmosphere together. They also showed a ton of restraint on that album, Chicago has zero breakdowns, which might be a bit generous. I don't want to get too into it, but the band deserves some credit for growing a lot since their first few efforts. Even then not many bands at the time were doing the things that they were doing, whether or not those things were that impressive.
|
| |
"Isn't that a Laura Stevenson song"
it's 8:08 but this can't be anywhere near the awesomeness of that song
|
| |

wut
|
| |
I just feel like from song to song it was going in circles, I didn't feel like I arrived anywhere by the time the last song rolled on in, which is sad considering it's a concept album.
I'm being deliberately harsh, I love the album to death, I'm just saying that I think Dead Throne is a better release.
