Agree with Dawiji. These guys do a whole lot with their time, so I would never call them lazy. Having said that, sometimes I wish they would just stop acting like something is happening with Tool and just wait til its 100% done. Because it's literally been years of this.

The 2010's imo haven't been really going for long enough to be able to name truly classic albums yet. Also it's a very subjective topic, I dislike Converge (I will never ever understand the love they get on sputnik) and I dislike Jane Doe, to me The Long Procession by Amia Venera Landscape (released 2010) is a much better album. You could argue against it all day but you would never change my mind.

The comparison itself is just silly, it's like saying all metal/rock in the 80's was terrible because it wasn't as good as Led Zeppelin 4 or The Dark Side Of The Moon.

This is true however the boys from Deftones have other projects on the go, Chino has Palms and Crosses which he records and tours with and somehow they manage to put out solid albums every 2 to 3 years. Maynard should just pull the pin and concentrate on Puscifer and his vineyards instead of dragging people along. At this stage I am very doubtful that they will ever do anything as good as Aenima/Lateralus anyway.
