The Distillers are no more 2007-02-20 by Intransit | 8 Comments | The Distillers, lead by frontwomen Brody Dalle have officially called it quits. Reasons for the break-up include the loss of bassist Ryan Sinn to the musical equivalent of Scientology, Angels & Airwaves, while drummer Andy Granelli went to Darker My Love.
The Distillers began their career on the Rancid-run Hellcat Records, which had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Brody Dalle was at one time married to Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong. After releasing two albums on Hellcat, they signed to Sire to release Coral Fang, which was met with cries of sellout and the assorted gibberish. The lasted from 1998 to late 2006.
