Rush Album Info

A new Rush album is expected to be released in late spring/early summer via Atlantic Records, according to a number of internet sources.

"I have never enjoyed the recording process so much, nor been so satisfied with the results," drummer Neil Peart wrote last month on his web site.

Peart also mentioned that many of the songs were inspired by his adventures through the United States on his beloved motorcycle. "Just seeing the power of evangelical Christianity and contrasting that with the power of fundamentalist religion all over the world in its different forms had a big effect on me," he said.

The band is also believed to be embarking on the following tour dates this summer, but no confirmation has been issued as of today:

06/13 - Nashville, TN @ Starwood Amphitheater
06/15 - West Palm Beach, FL @ Sound Advice Amphitheater
06/16 - Tampa, FL @ Ford Amphitheater @ Florida State Fairgrounds
06/18 - Atlanta, GA @ HiFi Buys Amphitheater
06/19 - Charlotte, NC @ Verizon Wireless Amphitheater
06/27 - Mansfield, MA @ Tweeter Center
07/02 - Wantaugh, NY @ Jones Beach Amphitheater
07/04 - Darien Lake, NY @ Six Flags
07/07 - Homdel, NJ @ PNC Arts Center

Of all places they could have gone, they decide to go down the highway to Homdel. Never listened to Rush, but this sounds interesting... just Peart's comments make me want to check this out

O lord. I hate it when bands whose musical viability was gone 20-30 years ago make a new album. Dylan is pretty much the only one who can do it. And Neil Young. But seriously, did anyone hear the new Who album? They should stick to the classics.
