This is by far their most experimental release so far, I quite like that they are willing to try something different.

You obviously didn't listen to the album or just didn't put any thought into that statement. If anything it sounds like The Strokes trying not to sound like the Strokes. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but as of right now I'm enjoying the album.
