Bay Area-based metal band Deafheaven have posted their side of their upcoming split with fellow San
Franciscans Bosee-de-Nage to Youtube, to which they have contributed a cover of Mogwai songs "Punk Rock"
and "Cody."

I can't tell if the vocals are better or worse, but they sound different from here. Stupid low-quality headphones. Aside from that, though, I like the spin they took with this.

I think the vox are pretty solid to be honest. Low-end headphones will do that.

I learned Cody the other day and played it slowly in front of a campfire all by myself. It was one of the best moments I've had lately. Just real relaxing.

Their new album wasn't very good so I politely disagree.

This song could've been better if they'd slowed it down even more, giving it an unhurried, dreamy atmosphere. Still good though.
