thanks for taking my list's thunder man

Lol. Sorry, bruh. Perks of not needing approval.
| |
Should be good.
| |
the live version of at the well was awesome

"I love Neurosis, but I get this feeling this will be the worst album they have ever released. These
lame titles seem like it will be the most cliche Neurosis album. Converge's new album title is lame
too, but I have more faith in the Converge release for some reason."
well 1) you don't love them cuz you're easy to doubt their craft without hearing it. 2) their not lame, you don't even know if the lyrics hold a great meaning through the titles. they got older after 5 years duh so the titles might not seem as "cool" or "strong" but still from the live video of the second track and from what I've seen them play the music will rule. and 3) fuck off converge isn't on their level.
| |
bring it
| |
so um yeah kids take advice from father wolfe on this one, and quit complaining about the song titles
| |
Anyone who doubts this album obviously hasn't seen any videos of the new songs being played.
| |
love the album cover, seven songs will be nice and compact (although they'll prolly all average like 11 mins)
| |
Pysched
| |
album cover makes me feel like im watching something in HD with my nose pressed right up against the tv
| |
Not bad, reminds me the Given to the Rising cover. We still need to hear their new material.
| |
Can't wait for this! Only wish they put more songs on this album. Also Neurosis did an interview with decibel magazine, breaking down each track on the album. Here's the link
http://www.decibelmagazine.com/featured/neurosis-scott-kelly-and-steve-von-till-preview-new-album-honor-found-in-decay/
| |
this album is going to be tribal as fuck
| |
nah
| |
It probably won't be, but the artwork is. Based on live tracks and interviews, I'd guess it'll be like a cross between ASTNS and TEOES but heavier/denser.
| |
I'd say a mix between Given, Sun, and some of Storm.
| |
it won't
| |
WOLFE IS SO FUCKIN STOKED OMG
| |
best thing is it's before halloween so you know I'll be wildin out like white fang
| |
Neurosis has never put out a bad metal album so regardless of which of their previous albums it sounds like it will still rule
| |
Release date's been floating around for awhile...
ANYWAY, all the track titles are sweet except 6. Da fuck is dat shit.
| |
"I'd guess it'll be like a cross between ASTNS and TEOES but heavier/denser."
You are close. Josh Graham mentioned something along these lines.
| |
"all the track titles are sweet except 6. Da fuck is dat shit."
it's THE TRUTH
| |
could do without the really cheesy ellipse
| |
I wonder who the people in the picture on the left are.
| |
omg yesssss
| |
I can't wait for this!
| |
awwwww shit
gonna be awesome :D
| |
Only the scum of a normal society with an obvious lack of intellectual and emotional depth are capable of hating this group.
| |
Their album art is usually pretty cool but that cover kinda sucks.
| |
Their titles have always been pretty cliche, so I'm still excited
| |
Fave Neurosis song/album go.
| |
Bridges/Eye of Every Storm
| |
The Eye Of Every Storm and Locust Star are fantastic.
| |
Lame song titles and album title!
| |
They all read as pretty generic metal names to me.
| |
I love Neurosis, but I get this feeling this will be the worst album they have ever released. These
lame titles seem like it will be the most cliche Neurosis album. Converge's new album title is lame
too, but I have more faith in the Converge release for some reason.
What an irrelevant comparison. Secondly, do yourself a favour and go look at the other Neurosis song titles/ album covers. This is on par to their other material. Oh, and it's Neurosis which means they won't disappoint.
| |
octobers gonna be the best month of music ever
| |
See, you are one of the worst users on this site ; ).
| |
You are both terrible/pestilent users, the compliment is false reassurance.

Sounds very promising, I am thoroughly looking forward to this album
| |
can't wait, album will rule
not sure how I feel about the art, I prefer the pre-Sun era art the most.
| |
i feel the more i look at the art the more i like it tbh
| |
"October is gonna be the best month of music ever"
I agree with btbam, converge, neurosis, pig destroyer and wintersun it's gonna be almost too much to handle
| |
lol
| |
hahahha
| |
undecided on the artwork. gotta wait to see the whole thing.
| |
im glad you find the truth funny shadow, well hes right about the first three at least
| |
btbam and wintersun are shit
| |
Gonna rule.
| |
fuck off converge isn't on their level [2]
| |
btbam rules brah get ur head out of ur ass
| |
anyone recommend a good entry point for these guys? I tried Given To The Rising years ago and couldn't get into it.
| |
start at souls at zero then work your way chronologically, then you can fully experience their transformation to post metal kings
| |
Souls at Zero or the Eye of Every Storm
| |
I really need to try and get into these guys again.
| |
you definitely do
| |
best place to start? from what I understand they actually have no bad album (although their first few records are very different then their current style from what i understand), so should i just pick any random one?
| |
well i started with souls at zero and went chronologically forward and its great seeing their sound evolve each album so i suggest that, then check out their first two albums after if you really want. theyre crust punk/crossover tho so they sound absolutely nothing like their post metal stuff but theyre still good
| |
the first of theirs i heard was tsib whenever that was long ago and i didnt know what the fuck was going on so yea start with souls
| |
Okay, starting with Souls at Zero is what I'll do. The whole getting to see their evolution with each release sounds very appealing to me, so going chronologically from there seems like a good idea.
| |
I started with TSIB and it took a few listens but it still blew me away, Purify blew my mind hard
| |
I think the cover art would look better with a black background. I guess it'd give off too much of a Given vibe though.
| |
will take the advice of starting at souls at zero. I just recently "got" Deathspell Omega and goddamn that shit is tight
| |
Neurosis and Godflesh are playing the London Forum in December holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
| |
heheueheheuhe
| |
ur jealous
| |
