luke holland would at least add a .5 to the album when it comes out if he recorded the drums it

why did i ever like this band
|
| |
"Deceiver" wasn't the worst thing ever made, so hopefully this will be an improvement.
|
| |
I actually really enjoyed Deceiver, so I'm looking forward to this.
|
| |
empire's really not bad.
|
| |
Sturgis is producing this. Not getting my hopes up.
|
| |
shweeet
|
| |
Deceiver was awesome and still is. I hope this will also be. Too bad Luke Holland doesn't drum on this, that would have made me a lot more excited about this.

break up plz
|

Looking forward to checking this out, although 14 tracks is pretty hefty. Shame the new drummer isn't featured on this though. Also it'll be interesting to hear how much keyboard is on the album. With the guitarists doing the work it should either be very little or over saturated.
|
| |
Instant 5/5
|
| |
"hopefully the whole album is guitar solos because truthfully, they're pretty dece at those"
Is dece the new slang for decent? You crazy kids.
|
| |

I'm afraid you are very much incorrect if you think that any of these recent metalcore bands actually have a real drummer playing on any of their albums.
|
| |
Less singing please. I hate his cleans.
|
| |
According to lead singer Tyler Smith the album features a heavier and more "metal-headed" sound.
We all know that just means they're gonna just throw a shitload of breakdowns on the album and call it a day.
|
| |
generic sturgis is producing this shit?
well, the little interest I had is now gone.
|
| |
Empire ruled, Deceiver proved Empire was a fluke.

|

How much did Tyler actually scream on Deciver? Cause when I saw them live the guitarist was doing a large chunk of it.
Second on hating the cleans though, and with Sturgis producing them they will get even more whiney.
|
| |
I bet this will be decent but nothin special

lol, "awesome" stick flips don't transfer well
|
| |
^Jealous because he can't do them
|
| |
Deceiver was okay. I have a feeling this is gonna be sub par.
|
| |
Since I haven't been following this band or cared to if the guy with the terrible cleans is still in the band this will still blow.
|
| |
Deceiver was unbelievably overrated and overly generic in my opinion. Nevertheless I'll give this a listen when it comes out.
|
| |
gayyyyyyy
|
| |
YOU'LL GET WHAT YOU DESERVE
FOR FUCKING
WITH MEEEEEEEEEE
album will be dece
|
| |
Band needs to make the album like "Hounds of Anubis" then remove the cleans.
|
| |
Cleans are bad on album, terrible live. He needs stop singing. It is a shame the Luke wasn't involved in the writing process, I want to see what he can come up with on his own, it seems that all of his youtube videos are just covers.
I'll check this out but I don't really expect much from it.
|
| |
there's a live performance of a new song called "wishmaster" on youtube
|
| |
Agreed with everyone asking to remove the cleans. Like any contemporary metalcore band, they would sound twice as heavy and less predictable without them.
|
| |
they need no cleans, less keyboards, and drums that don't sound like card board boxes
|
| |
and no layered vocals
|
| |
^^^ I don't think they need to take the advice of a random sputnikmusic commentor. They are doing great as they are now, cleans and all. Empire received great reviews and it had layered vocals. With Deciever, their vocalist tried different things and seen what the fans liked. I have high hopes for this album and I know it'll be great.

In the words of famed sputnikmusic commentor bloc:
neck
|

Haha, I keep seeing the m/ brigade use that word. The first time I used it was in the Chevelle thread today : )
Although I might start using it more often. It has a nice ring to it.
|
| |
I'd always heard it every now and again, and had a basic understanding of what it meant.
The actual action would be much funnier.
|
| |
What is the actual action?
EDIT: Nvm, I just looked it up on Urban Dictionary.
|
| |
^did the same thing
|
| |
I will probably buy this one, listen to it a few times, legitimately enjoy 3 or 4 songs, and then just let it sit in my room.
