Helloween Acoustic Album 2006-12-05 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 3 Comments | Italian-based Frontiers Records will release an album of acoustic versions of Helloween classics by the group's one-time singer Michael Kiske.
Kiske, who joined the band immediately prior to recording the classic Keeper of the Seven Keys, Pt. 1 in 1987, will record all of the songs he wrote for the band during his six-year stint as lead singer.
He had replaced former frontman/guitarist Kai Hansen, who decided to focus solely on his guitar-work for future albums. His was released from the band in 1993 due to "personal differences."
Projected tracklist:
1. We Got the Right
2. A Little Time
3. Kids Of the Century
4. Goin' Home
5. You Always Walk Alone
6. When the Sinner
7. I Believe
8. Longing
9. In the Night
10. Your Turn
+ as-yet-undisclosed new song
The singer's own website MichaelKiske.net contains a recent interview in which he explains his decision to record the new album.
