Everyone should vote for the 24hr Flaming Lips song
|
| |
A bookmaker has the Gotye/Kimbra song at $1.13 for your $1. You can actually get $5.50 on absolutely any other song. LOL.
Of course, it doesn't help that they have excluded (unless I'm going blind) any song from what may have been her main opposition: Adele.
|
| |
Her main opposition? Adele wouldn't get any airplay on triple j. Blasphemy!
|
| |
Edit: Double post doh!
Anyway, this is what I voted for:
Towers - Bon Iver
What The Water Gave Me - Florence & The Machine
Yer Spring - Hey Rosetta
Limit To Your Love - James Blake
Good Intent - Kimbra
Midnight City - M83
April Fool - Manchester Orchestra
Brother - Matt Corby
We Bros - Wu Lyf
Cannons - Youth Lagoon
That's without adding songs, and just chosing from the options that they give you.
|
| |
Gotye would probably win, hoping/thinking Shake It Off will come second or third.
|
| |
they forgot to add korn to the list?
|
| |
Vote for Frenzal you fuckers!
|
| |
I'll have 2 the same as you Dougie (Flo & Wu). Plus a ManchOrch song.
|
| |
Frenzal Rhomb for the win ;)
bout time JJJ starts playin some good music again.
|
| |
Aslong as Drapht doesnt get in the top 5 I will be happy whatever the result.
|
| |
Thought you were a member of Short Stack there for a moment, but I got my Drapht's mixed up with my 360's. Easily done.
|
| |
360 > Drapht
|
| |
The Jezabels and San Cisco should do pretty well. But unfortunately JJJ listeners don't appreciate the greatness that is M83's 2011 offering. Midnight City is such an amazing piece of music but i doubt will rate higher than 50.
|
| |
At least it will get in though, some amazing songs aren't as lucky
|
| |
I'll take the bet. I reckon 'Midnight City' will be in the top 50. Especially since 'Steve McQueen' is not listed.
Huh. I just noticed 'Crystal Clear' by Young Guns. Must have had some sort of 2011 release in Oz I guess.
|
| |
Kinda sucks that 8/10 things I voted for I had to add myself..
|
| |
I don't bother adding tracks as the likelihhod of such a song making the top 100 is low'ish. Then again, if we hear Adele this Australia Day, I stand to be corrected.
|
| |
This always depresses me, not my kinda music at all
|
| |
Yeah I know but I think some might have a chance, like Simple Math
|
| |
OMG, they only included 1 ManchOrch song. I'm thinking of boycotting. Seriously, how they determine the nominations (of sorts) is really puzzling. 'April Fool' over all other 'Simple Math' tracks is befuddling.
|
| |
I thought people just added whatever tracks they wanted to add and the database of songs to choose from kinda grew from there
|
| |
I luv jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj
|
| |
Yeah I would've voted for MO but 'April Fool' really isn't the best on that album.
Gotye is gonna rape this.
|
| |
I could pick 6 songs on their list from this year that I really liked. All they play these days is boring aussie hip hop, brostep and hipster indie. Very rare to hear anything alternative or even slightly heavy during the day and their love of Kanye boggles my mind.
And it's still one of the better stations to listen to in Aus... go figure
|
| |
haha, trip J's rang me today to say why I voted for Bon Iver - Towers and why it was song of the year. I will be on air sunday bitches.
|
| |
haha that's pretty awesome dude
|
| |
They must have thought anyone who didn't choose 'Perth' or 'Holocene' was crazy & would make for some good entertainment.
;-)
|
| |
Took me ages to decide on whether to vote for Perth or Towers... I chose Towers
|
| |
Oh alright then. 'Holocene' may sneak in for me.
|
| |
