The lack of Frank is saddening. I like it though.
|
| |
OMG YES.
|
| |
Pretty catchy song, looking forward to the EP.
|
| |
Not as fast as True Colours, but I like it! EP will own.
|
| |
That wasn't too bad, but its not nearly as good as the Frank era. Also its waaaay too fucking repetitive.
honestly they should just change their name.....
|
| |
i'm definitely not displeased with that.
|
| |
not digging this as much as True Colours. It sounds too average.
|
| |
boring...needs more Frank Carter. this band is so disappointing to me now.
|
| |
As if they were really all that great in the first place.
|
| |
sounds like a B side from Grey Britain but without frank its just so... average.
|
| |
It's growing on me but if you listen to the previews on itunes, they remade (poorly) true colours and the last two tracks don't sound that interesting.
I guess you can't base that off 30 seconds though
|
| |
its not bad. probably should of changed their name for their new stuff to be judged on its own merit
|
| |
Feels like a scene out of Training Day. Also, those lyrics? Gross.
|
| |
Pretty disappointing tbh
|
| |
don't see why they should change their name
|
| |
sounds like a poor mans etid.
Made me lol.
|
| |
s'alright
|
| |
The other song had more about it, the lyrics in this are pretty lame, I stopped saying fuck the world when I was 16.
Sound is good though, still dont get the call for name change etc, they've already got a fan base this way, they want to hook people into this new stuff, changing their name will do nothing for them and I understand that.
|
| |
I like this. People need to stop being so butthurt about Frank. They don't need to quit, they don't need to change their name, and they were never really a band with this legacy people are making them out to be in the first place.
|
| |
^Butthurt Gallows fan
|
| |
Boring
|
| |
having witnessed Gallows with Frank I can honestly say that they put on a legendary live show, one like no other, Frank was gallows. now they went from being a pioneer band to sound like a subpar ETID/Your Demise band.
|
| |
down, down, down, down... it gets me so....
WAIT A MINUTE
|
| |
"now they went from being a pioneer band to sound like a subpar ETID/Your Demise band."
Since when in the fuck was Gallows a "pioneer band?"
|
| |
pretty meh :/
|
| |
Boring.
|
| |
"The other song had more about it, the lyrics in this are pretty lame, I stopped saying fuck the world when I was 16."
They're not saying fuck the world,
The lyrics are;
ya say fuck the world
i say it's allready fucked
|
| |
"Since when in the fuck was Gallows a "pioneer band?"
Since Frank Carter and the rest of Gallows wrote the musical masterpiece that is Grey Britain.
|
| |
^QFT!
Really sounds like a bad etid copycat.
|
| |
Totally fucking sucks.
|
| |
The best 'Frank Carter Gallows' for me was the 5 track demo they had before Orchestra Of Wolves came out.
Both albums were pretty average in the end.
|
| |
apparently the EP is 7 1/2 minutes long
|
| |
this sounds to much like alexisonfire lol (which I like, but nevertheless) gallows had that british style to it I liked so much haha that's gone... but still, not that bad
|
| |
lyrics are shit tho
|
| |
"Since Frank Carter and the rest of Gallows wrote the musical masterpiece that is Grey Britain"
Who in the fuck, besides Rolling Stone, Spin, and A.P., said that was a "musical masterpiece." Odd considering Orchestra of Wolves was 200 times better, and that's not saying all that much.
User is dumb.
|
| |
quite a lot of people actually
|
| |
Funny you should say that, considering those are the first two people to say anything like that in my presence. You can't call a band "pioneering" when the sound was already done 30+ years ago.
|
| |
I didn't say they were pioneering
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_Britain#Reception
|
| |
"I think he means to say if he was good with words that they were a breath of fresh air taking it back to how punk used to
sound."
I can understand that, but a "breath of fresh air" doesn't mean it's "pioneering" in any way.
|
| |
Yeah, Kerrang! is such a reliable source for music.
Ugh.
|
| |
cos kerrang is the only review score on there
|
| |
before frank carter left, these guys were apparently already in the middle of writing their 3rd album.
I wonder what happened to the stuff they wrote in that time period because the impression I get is
that all the stuff on the EP was written afterwards with Wade
|
| |
Gallows became irrelevant ever since they released Grey Britain, which they will never be able to top. I know that sounds close minded, but it's easily a 5 in my eyes.
|
| |
i want to hear the unreleased stuff with frank as vocalist
|
| |
Yeah that wasn't too great
|
| |
Gallows was quintessential British hardcore. It doesn't make sense to have a Canadian vocalist. How is he meant to sing their last two albums?
|
| |
imagine wade singing "london is the reason" or "Watford town has gone and fucking let us down"
|
| |
I think they wanted a new direction rather than chase a legacy they knew they couldn't beat
|
| |
i guess it's the best thing they could've done.
Atleast it's better than recreating their old sound
|
| |
