great album. though it's nothing like "is this it?" in my opinion (and i think that's a good thing). the strokes keep saying that this album is a step backward for them but i think it's their most progressive, experimental album yet.

I like how retro this sounds, despite the fact that the musical formula is the same as, say, Impressions yet that album sounds modern.

It's like a better, more consistent version of Impressions. Idk guys this could be better than Is This It.

I mean obvz I'm a huge Strokes fanboy but still.

On track 3, and so far this absolutely slays.

In general I find this band to be overrated and their fans to be massive twats but I might have to revise that opinion in light of this piece of awesome.

loved The Strokes since i was in like 7th grade. pretty pumped on this.

Wow, not what I expected. They went very 80's, but overall this is looking like a solid 3.5-4. Games was kind of meh, but some tracks are among their all-time best. I'm interested to see whether this grows on me or off me.

The first listen left me with mixed feelings. The second time through though was way more enjoyable. I'm thinking this is probably a 4 in my book.

Oh, and the closer really is the best track IMO

The only songs that don't do it for me right now are Games and Metabolism. Oh, and yeah, Life is Simple in the Moonlight is a great way to close the album.

This really is pretty damn good. The only songs I wasn't too big on the first time around (Games, Metabolism) were a lot more interesting in round 2.
