Their first album was a breath of fresh air... fun unpretentious rock music. Don't blame them for trying to branch out but their newer stuff is pretty average.

are we listening to the same band, WhiteNoise, the more this band "evolves" the more stale they get.

First two albums were ace; it was the latest one that was a disappointment.

Humbug is probably ranked number 3 as far as their LP's go, but I still love it. It's some great tracks on there like
Potion Approaching, and Cornerstone and also I believe Alex's vocals are the best on that album.

I dunno, I still hold the first album as one of my favourite albums ever but I loved how solid hubug felt. It does help that QOTSA are one of my favourite bands too.

The music was good, but the lyrics went nowhere. Turner can weave a great story when he wants to, but this is not one of those cases.
