Coachella Sells Out

2011-01-26 by Rudy K. EMERITUS | 36 Comments
This year's edition of the Coachella Music and Art's Festival, to be held in Indio, CA April 15-17, has sold out in record time - 5 days in fact. The Internet is in an uproar over the rapid sellout and the fact that the last 15,000 tickets allotted by Goldenvoice (the event's promoter) had to be packaged with a $55.00 festival pass, bringing the total cost of a standard 3-day pass to $371.00 with basic fees and shipping.

to put this in perspective, coachella 2010 didn't sell out until a couple of weeks before the festival.

ummm like the festival that headlines converge, with brand new opening, with weezer opening for them, with neutral milk hotel opening for them, with the smiths opening for them, with circle takes the square opening for them, with converge playing again, with kanye opening for them, with johnny cash opening for them, with mewithoutyou opening for them, with animal collective opening for them, with between the buried and me opening for them, with black eyed peas opening for them.

oh man, that festival comes to Iowa every year. its a A+ festival.
