Had a feeling this would be the next single. All the scene kids around here love that song.

Whoa...did they re-record the track for the video? The vocals and guitar solo are way different than the album.

I get that they're trying to sell records but kind of weak..LP version is much better.

i don't know why i didn't hate it as much as i usually do

i hate to admit it but the singer is very talented. hate his tone and he sucks at screaming but he has a very impressive yet obnoxious range.

Looks like they did re-recorded the song. Too much vocals layers imao.

Still, the original is better.

I really enjoyed that pre-release album they did of songs in progress. Mostly instrumental...and much more aggressive. I agree, way too many vocal layers. They're talented, but right now just not a very good band.

Miss the screaming, some of the new vocal parts were pretty cool though. He's a much better singer than screamer, though, so I'm down with him focusing on cleans more.

yeah, the changes weren't very good. still a solid song though. kinda obvious that they're trying to reach a wider audience with it, but hey, they're awesome and I hope they do.

The hate comes mostly from anti-hypers who got angry about all of the positive attention this band was getting. (I don't really care for them that much either, but I won't hate on them. Except that it kind of ticks me off when they rip off of Meshuggah)

This was the radio edit version. For the radio I suppose, but hell he doesn't even scream that much in the original version. You guys need to listen to the lead singers solo work. He has gotten allot better at screaming.

just a shitty version of Tesseract

LOL. Why do so many people say Tesseract is better? Their EP is so fucking boring. Dan is a great vocalist but that's all they have going for them in my opinion. Periphery's instrumentals > Tesseract's instrumentals.

I think Periphery is miles ahead of Tesseract. You remove the vocals from Tesseract and you honestly have one of the most boring albums ever.

TesseracsT vocals is better than Periphery's vocal, but Periphery is a better band. Even though actually both bands came out about the same time. Even though TesseracT is from the Uk they started up right about the same time Periphery did they just happen to play similar music.

Yea and everyone seems to forget that Periphery has Tesseract totally destroyed in the beast drummer departments...not saying tesseract's drummer is bad by any means but Matt Halpern grooves waayyy harder.

I really don't like what they added to this version of the song at all though.

Periphery's debut was fucking amazing, and this is coming from someone you hates HxC shit as much as the next guy. The musicianship was just so good, the production was great, and the vocals weren't bad after a few listens. They know their shit, unlike many other bands in their vein.

The sounds are programmed, not the playing...have you not seen the studio video of matt halpern playing?

Even as a standalone drummer, he still grooves harder.
