The Getaway Plan to reunite 2010-11-25 by bigfriendlygiant | 19 Comments | Australian alternative four piece The Getaway Plan have announced that they will be reuniting after going
their separate ways in mid-2009.
After playing a benefit gig in Melbourne in July this year, the band decided to get back together and start
touring and writing new material, citing 'unfinished business' as the reason.
The members of the band will finish their touring duties with their respective current acts (The Amity
Affliction, Deez Nuts and Young Heretics) and tour Australia in February 2011, starting at the Capitol in
Perth on the 9th.
A date for a new record is not known at this stage, although recording and producers
seem to be set for early next year in Australia and Canada.

I knew that would happen, who goes and puts in so much effort making a decent album and then just calls it quits. I like this band, but this makes me hate them a little.

Im not sure how I feel about this. I really really liked their first EP dealy, and Other voices was actually a pretty decent release considering they lost their lead guitarist and harsh vocalist simultaneously. I just hope they can pull a more rhythmic effort off, with a bit more breeeees

met these guys in freo in 08 and they played a cool little acoustic set in the beer garden near the venue. really keen to see them live again - other voices deserved to get the praise it did.
