Na, there was some genuinely good episodes in the season just gone.

yes last season had some incredible eps.

most people just don't watch it anymore...

Season 9-ish was the end of their Golden Age.

Now the only good episodes are peppered randomly amongst some horrible television.

Seasons 2 until 8 were brilliant, the series may have been slacking off in more recent years, but I'm still a devoted follower.

I need to check out new Simpsons I guess, as several people have been telling me that the writing is near that of the show's golden years.

the simpsons will always be the shit even if they had bad seasons. their good seasons are so good that they make up for all the bad seasons, and like soapysoap said, even their bad episodes are still watchable.
