Alice in Chains is eligible in 2014, Pantera and Pearl Jam are eligible in 2015 and Tool, Rage Against the Machine and Nirvana are eligible in 2016...when did Soundgarden put out their first single?

Dur, what? It doesn't get much more pop than Bowie's 80s work. He most certainly is a pop musician, always has been.
As for the nominees, everyone sounds good except for Bon Jovi. I really wish the RNR Hall of Fame wouldn't just take RECORD SALES into consideration when judging a group, because no matter how many records Bon Jovi has sold they'll still always be mediocre at best. Everyone else deserves it though, so glad to see Donovan get acknowledged.
