I disagree, opinions on this band have shifted quite a bit so i wouldnt be too sure.

But seriously, making just one 20 minute epic is literally a "make or break" maneuver. Think about Swim to the Moon, some liked it and some hated it.

Swim to the Moon has its epic moments but it's got stupid moments too. I wish they would slightly lessen the prog direction with TGM and do something that's still experimental but more like a mix of TSC and Colors

This is relevant to my interests. I personally wish they would go back to making shorter songs, because most of BTBAM's longer songs just sound like 3 songs mashed into one long ass song with guitar fills to make them "connect" or whatever. Either way, I'm looking forward to hearing this EP.

I just though of how amazing their Self Titled album would be re-recorded.
Unfortunately, I don't think they will ever return to that style of music any time soon. They all seem more than happy with the more progressive direction of the band.

not gonna lie, yesterday i was talking to my little brother about musical whatnots and i said that BTBAM will release something next year. i was right. i'm excited.

His voice sounds like a girl...

I'm not clairvoyant or anything, but I'm thinking they will have shorter songs on this, just because it IS an EP. Like...look at the last two releases, they've been LPs, which after colors, implies something for Between The Buried and Me. In an LP, they're going to want to connect songs somehow now. Whether by one big theme throughout the album (as in The Great Misdirect) or one big interconnected song (Colors)

This is just a thought, mind you, but it's VERY possible that they're calling it an EP just because it doesn't connect in either way and they don't want it to be an LP without it being connected in these senses. Yes? No? I'm not sure.
