I liked the old title, it fits this awesome cover. I wonder why they changed.
The new track is wicked, it's a little different; but I am digging it.
| | | Because the old title sounded way too Cannibal Corpsy.
Ahhh... sweet new Arsis track.
| | | Aw, you beat me to it.
The new stuff is...questionable. The song is great at times but it's almost so technical is kills the melody. Jim does a horrid guitar harmony just before he yells out the song title. The artwork isn't bad but the others were much better. This makes for a great shirt design, at least. Some of the song titles are also a little weird.
I'm still holding out. It's not like they're dumbing down or anything, but this isn't what I was expecting.
And by the way, you can see the new cover, tracklist, and download the mp3 here.

| | | I felt sort of like you at first Shadows, but there is STILL a strong melody in the song, and the changes they've made are questionable but it's still change.
I didn't want another album sounding just like ACOG, and it's pretty clear they didn't plan on doing that.
| | | I'm liking this quite a bit. The album cover is awesome and the new song is incredibly technical.
Arsis owns.

I definitely agree with this. The more I listen to the song the more I start to like it. It's kind of buried under layers of guitar, but there is melody. I'm glad they're changing, though. ADFD was obviously a step towards more technical, refined songwriting and this takes it even farther.
I'm sure the album will slay. Expect me to post my review at 11:59 pm on October 23.
| | | Now I'll be able to post it before then. :D
| | | The new song sucks :-
For the most part, the riffs are completely unmemorable, and I could really do without a generic sounding sweep run every five seconds.
| | | Jono sucks.
| | | There is some melody in here, but not alot. I kinda like the song, and thats good because i've never been a huge fan of arsis. we'll see...
| | | After nearly 50 listens (thanks to last.fm for keeping track) I'm really loving the song.
| | | I should really check these guys out
