Paying homage to their fellow countrymen?
Anyway, I hope they redeem themselves.

havent listened.
likin the album name.
|
| |
Might check out.
|
| |
actually im really diggin the album art.
jus checked out and it aint bad... never listened to them before so i might jus be stoked?
|
| |
song ruled
|
| |
canadian mathcore? as a canadian I am slightly insulted by that, their last album sucked and was more like jokescore :P
|
| |
iono dude that song kinda harkened back to calculating infinity days to me.
|
| |
sounds to much like danza for my tastes. still anticipating
|
| |
They are a damn fine band and they just might replace Despised Icon as the kings of Montreal heavy...
Still sounds like fluff compared to the DEP though.
|
| |
Yeah, song fucking rules.
|
| |
That was pretty ridiculous.
|
| |
I like this. A ton.
|
| |
That was pretty solid.
|
| |
the myspace redesign and album art is pretty sexy
|
| |
they cant replace despised icon since they've been around longer
i liked ion's early stuff but they got all groovy, gonna check this out with cautious optimism
|
| |
I'm unimpressed with the grind style. That particular song anyway is pretty repetitive. Maybe if it's one of the weaker tracks though the album could still be decent.
|
| |
sounds like they took some chaotic riffs from their first couple albums and played them long enough for the listener to keep track of them. they simplified their sound way too much on minus the herd, albeit, some songs were really fun to listen to. maybe cursed will be a good balance of nuts riffing and songwriting, although the unpredictability of Breathing is Irrelevant is what made it one of my favorite metal albums. i'm with cocaine on this and am going to be cautiously optimistic.
|
| |
Copycat ^
|
| |
this is a return to true form...of course I'm only assuming that the rest of the album will be just as awesome. This is what Minus the Herd should have sounded like.
|
| |
every single member of that band looks exactly alike
Ahahaha. Thought you were exaggerating. Then I scrolled down on their page and literally burst into laughter. Good times.
Usually I'm biased and love everything Canadian, but this song just ain't doing it to me. I've experienced DEP, so now every time I hear music attempting to sound noisy and dirty and loud and complicated just doesn't cut it. Rather generic if I may say so.

That's my favorite number ya know.
|
| |
meh
|
| |
Oh thank god they're back to writing decent music...
|
| |
I love the production and the vocals on this track, the new vocalist finally lives up to ID's intensity. I am actually really excited for this album.
|
| |
hey thanks whoever edited my description and made the link work! what's the html code to make the hyperlink work so I can add news correctly next time? i don't think worked before.
|
| |
good stuff...
|
| |
The Arusha Accord do that whole thing so much better. with slap bass.
|
| |
pretty crappy, really; stupid lyrics, too, from what you can make out
better than minus the herd, sure, but is that really saying much?
not even remotely on par with breathing / solace
|
| |
Dumb song title, but if this isn't even a SLIGHT return to form...Also jumping on the "cautious optimism" bandwagon.
|
| |
Song is sick.
|
| |
hmmm. it's not doing a great deal for me. I mean it's ok, but there's definitely stuff missing. I think old ID used silence and space more effectively. this is better than most of the stuff on minus the herd though.
'The Arusha Accord do that whole thing so much better. with slap bass.'
they are pretty sick. but they sound way different to ion dissonance. they are pretty melodic and use consonance, which is like the opposite of ID.
|
| |
I love how people say that ID are trying to be like other bands(funniest I've heard is Architects). If it wasn't Breathing is Irrelevant and Solace half of these bands wouldn't have any fucking riffs to rip off. Come on now.
|
| |
Arusha have a fair amount of melodic secitons tis true.
Not a fan of either, just listen to arusha for the bass really.
|
| |
Arusha is a bunch of scene kids who sing. Ion murks those smoke pigs.
|
| |
lol murks.
|
| |
Lol smoke pigs.
Check Vatican for the old Ion vocalist's new band.
|
| |
this song is SO good. this album is going to destroy.
|
| |
yeah they got haircuts, they also are unbelievably tight for how technical they are.
ID all look identical and have not much hair in general so therefore they're bunch of somepointlessgeneralisation kids.
shame the music is meh on both accounts.
