Not surprised at all. Band is taking a break so this was expected. Hopefully this will allow him to get all of his poppier stuff out of his system so the next Killers album can go back to their roots like Hot Fuss.

Was reading the other day that while The Killers are on hiatus, the drummer has joined a supergroup of sorts. It was predominantly British musicians, but I can't for the life of me remember who right now.

It's a couple of the guys from Keane. Pretty lousy "supergroup" tbh

I like Hot Fuss, so I'll check this out. Although the bit on his website sounds like it was taken from an Owl City song.

Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year"

(Haters gonna hate)

I've always been a very large Killers fan. Hot Fuss was the only album I had for like 2 years when I was a kid. Every album has held me over well since. They're just the band I can't let go of now matter what. Everyone has that band.

So excited for this.
Also, if you guys didn't know, Vitamin String Quartet covered Hot Fuss, and it's definitely worth a nostalgia listen if you liked that album.

"Hot Fuss" was their only album I've ever listened and enjoyed. Everything after that was just variations on a theme. Theme being "Hot Fuss". I really got bored by everything they made since that.
Even though I'm not surprised with him making a solo album, I'll probably give it a try. Just for the sake of it.

I don't see how they could be classified as noise rock at all...? Maybe I'm misunderstanding the definition of "noise rock?"
