I dig the verses.
| |
song is fucking win. got me a little teary eyed in fact.
| |
The chorus is growing on me.
Edit: And I love when he gets personal and raps about his life, family, and all that.
| |
It's not that bad
| |
no thanks
| |
Not a big rap fan, but i thoroughly enjoyed that.
| |
ok on first listen, but not brilliant
| |
I like it.
| |
pretty good
| |
Check out his new freestyle "Despicable" too.

| |
I liked it.
| |
Not bad, at least it didn't have the annoying accent. Beat is meh though.
| |
^Yeah I liked em's performance a lot but wtf at that beat? He usually has awesome beats too.
Also "In fact let's be honest that last relapse CD was 'ehh'" was pretty funny.
| |
it's a step in the right direction, but still pretty much a snore fest compared to his older shizz
| |
The beat's too bombastic, IMO. I want some of Dre's shit on there. That being said...the song ain't bad shit. Reminds me a bit of "Till I Collapse." I also love the admission of 'Relapse''s mediocrity. There's way too much singing, but yeah, this is the first time I've felt Eminem being REALLY genuine in a long time.
I'd have to hear more songs to get me excited again, but as Burn2Burn said, it's a definite step in the right direction.
| |
ooh this sounds good, im excited. relapse was shit.
| |
i like how he blatantly admits relapse sucked
| |
I liked it alot. And I don't usually like Eminem too much negativity and immaturity but this was good. Genuine.
| |
looks like he's getting his act together. might actually check this one out then.
| |
i like how he blatantly admits relapse sucked [3]
| |
pretty good actually
i like how he blatantly admits relapse sucked [4]
| |
im not gonna lie i had very little hope recently about his new album. everything he's done recently has dropped the gross out shit that was just boring since the eminem show and that stupid middle eastern accent.
Its not great, but its a step up.
| |
that tin can beat is kind of annoying.
Song is ok first listen, I could see myself liking it after a few more listens
| |
Yeah this is way better than I expected but that's only saying so much
| |
I'm so glad he ditched the relapse accent
| |
Song is great, I love when he sounds pissed off in the verses.
| |
Yeah I might actually give Recovery a listen.
| |
good song, lack of accent is a big plus, looking forward to new album
| |
Yeah I might actually give Recovery a listen.
| |
verses were really nice, chorus and singing was lame.
| |
Eminem... lol.
| |
I thought this said new Emim single. Got pretty excited.
| |
Wow, this is the most genuine song I've heard from him in a while. The fact that he admitted relapse was crap and the whole accent thing was a mistake goes a long ways with me. I have a feeling this new album will be very good.
| |
i like this.
i liked the accent on relapse.
hate me.
| |
This is actually good.
| |
I hate you, dub.
nah I kid, I wuv you. Well, not you, but the idea of you.
| |
"i like this.
i liked the accent on relapse."
I'm kind of with you... Id prefer if he went without it here but there were definitely times on Relapse when I enjoyed it. It was way overused though.
| |
Digging it.
| |
I'm pretty stoked for this now...
| |
is it just me or does every recent pic of Eminem make him look like a butch lesbian?
| |
white boiz cant rap worth shit
| |
"white boiz cant rap worth shit"
wow, you're really playing that card?
| |
sounds promising. can't be worse than Relapse right?
| |
Holy shit, he referenced the fucking accent. Awesome.
Tbh it wasn't bad once in awhile, but it being on damn near every song on the album was a bit much. Liking this though.
| |
This rules. Stoked for Recovery.
| |
Officially excited.
| |
"sounds promising. can't be worse than Relapse right?"
or Encore...
| |
awesome song.
really liked it
| |
If he makes more songs like that, I'd say em actually back.
im excited
| |
song is very promising
| |
Very Good.
| |
If the other tracks on Recovery are like this and Beautiful, the record going to be great.
| |
"is it just me or does every recent pic of Eminem make him look like a butch lesbian?"
IDK just you probably, but it always pissed me off how his gimmick is to never smile. I remember watching an interview where he clearly finds things funny but if he starts to even smile he catches himself and puts his tongue in his cheek.
Or even worse just doesn't have any reaction to the joke. It just made the interview so much more awkward than it should have been.
| |
that was... pretty darn tootin' okay (which surprises me)
| |
That was great, my hopes for the new album are going up
| |
this is pretty damn good
| |
Best thing he's released in years.
| |
i would be totally stoked if i were still in middle school.
but it wasnt bad
| |
i like how he blatantly admits relapse sucked [5]
song was pretty damn good, I have hope for Recovery now.
| |
the only songs I've enjoyed more, near or equal to this song from Encore or Relapse are Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers, Yellow Brick Road, Beautiful and Underground
| |
angry eminem is always win
| |
goofy eminem rarely works...mostly all of his best songs are angry or emotional (Stan, Cleaning Out My Closet, Lose Yourself, Kim, Marshall Mathers, The Way I Am, etc.). Although I guess one could make the argument that Kill You (one of his best songs) is rather goofy.
| |
i'm not a big rap fan, but this song is pretty good. and i do like serious eminem way better
| |
Really nice with smart lines
i like how he blatantly admits relapse sucked [6]
| |
"angry eminem is always win"
+OO
| |
fuck yes song is awesome, recovery might be... great? yay
| |
That was pretty good, it looks like he might be on the road to Recovery.
| |
Chorus is really lame, but his rapping on the verses is pretty awesome.
| |
"That was pretty good, it looks like he might be on the road to Recovery."
pretty much sums it up, me thinks
| |
Yeah chorus sucks but the rest was awesome.
| |
Its okay
Em's performance>beat
| |
Is it me or does the chorus sound like it's trying to emulate "we are the world"?
| |
i think the chorus is completely cheesy i think personally when em sings it's just as bad as him rapping like he's the middle eastern guy at the 711, but his versus are on point but this is disappointing i thought he was gonna come with the style he used on b.o.b.'s airplanes II that had me really looking foward to recovery now i heard this and it's his first single off the album i have a feeling it's gonna be better than relapse but i'm gonna still be let down overall.
| |
it sounds very promising, here's hoping that it's a return to form at least somewhat
| |
liked this, hopeful 4 his next album
| |
The only song I dig the accent is Deja Vu.
This does sound quite promising though.
| |
Not bad.
| |
this song is crazy good. so stoked for the new album
| |
I like how I read the "Eminem Renames New Album" comments, and a lot of the people that said they didn't give two sh*&'s about him are saying this new song is beast (basically) WHICH IT IS!!!!
I nearly damn cried (not really) the first time I listened to this because of its beastlyness!
| |
I'm not a real big rap fan but... "I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
| |
http://www.nme.com/blog/index.php?blog=10&p=8399&title=has_eminem_totally_lost_it&more=1&c=1
despicable is awesome and this uppity british chick HATES it it makes me lol hxc
| |
yeah despicable rules hard. her criticisms are so strained. its like she wants to hate it
| |
Angry Eminem is good, but goofy eminem CAN be good too, just not the way he used it on Relapse. Songs like Criminal, Kill You, Forgot about Dre, and to a lesser extent songs like Who Knew are awesome too. Actually I think one of the best things about the MMLP is how well angry/goofy/serious is mixed.
| |
haters can make like bees with no stingers and drop dead
| |
i live in ny but i think ima drive to comerica park and drop mad bank for that show... havent seen em live since 2000, I'm a lions fan, and most importantly, would not be able to stand hearing "Empire State of Mind" in Yankee stadium
| |
Do it man. I'll be there for sure, even though I'm sure tix will be crazy expensive.
I've never seem Em live wtf.
