yeah! the band that got me into the music is back... the song is cool, between the atmosphere of our love to admire, but in a darker way... high hopes about this

the guitar tone sounds good, trying to recall the aesthetic from TOTBL, but i miss the old Banks voice

I'm a long time Interpol fan also and to be honest, while the song is perfectly functional, it doesn't sound anything like the first album. It's still very much like Our Love to Admire in terms of vocals and guitar tone - his voice is more tuneful now, which is a deal breaker for me. I preferred it when it was more raw and unsure sounding...ugh, I don't know, here's hoping it will grow on me.

Guitar tone is indeed very similar to Our Love to Admire, which I don't find a bad thing at all, but I don't like the way Banks sings here.

The guitar tone was a bit special. Piano effective. But how has Banks' voice changed so much...I'm not sure how much I liked that.

Banks' vocals sound very similar to his Julien Plenti album from last year. I get the impression that he is trying to expand his range and become more of a legitimate "singer". It's always nice seeing a band trying to grow and progress, I'm just not sure how well these pieces will fit together. I'm hopeful though, as I have always enjoyed their music.

I was so fucking stoked about this album, but the song kinda disappointed me.

Still hoping this will be good

Song takes a while to get better, but it's not too shabby. I love Interpol, so I'm looking forward to this either way.

I hate it when people insist that artists maintain the same sound from their first album onward. It's called progression, guys. I think it sounds good.

Also, it's about time we heard something new from these guys. They've been working on this album for quite a while now.

I'm excited about the upcoming album, since I found every of their albums good (first one still owns the rest pretty hard though)

it's not progression if it doesn't sound as good...

i think it's a good song. it's like electric city said, it doesn't make me either dread or anticipate the new album, it's just "oh hey, they've got a new song, cool." that's almost worse than if it was outright bad, in a way. eh, i think i just need to come to terms that they're not going to put out anything as consistently good as bright lights again.

the song was good and i love that they brought back the dark sound to the music. if this is the best song off the album that would be disapointing, but for a solid track I can dig it..
