haven't actually REALLY liked a Soilwork album since Natural Born Chaos... but Stabbing the Drama held my interest for a couple weeks. Here's to hoping this is a return to form, album art looks cool and Wichers is back, right?

They do have their original guitarist back if that helps? I enjoy everything by these guys minus their last album.

Their probably the ONLY melodeath (along with Children of Bodom SOMETIMES) that i can still get into.

Slaughter of the Soul and early In Flames still do it for me sometimes, but yeah pretty much Soilwork's first 4 albums are where it's at. Autumn Leaves and Garden of Shadows would be up there if I could find more of their music...

I quite like both the old Soilwork (though I never got into Steelbath for some reason) and the new Soilwork (StaGD was extremely meh though). Album cover is good, album might be good too (for their standarts, of course)

Well, they wont be going back vocal-wise, because Bjorn just can't scream as good as then. Guitar-wise... who knows. They've been talking that this will be "a more technical album".
I'm actually more interested what the new guitarist will contribute to this. I heard he played in some french death metal band. Anyone knows the name and if it was any good?

you fuckers are retarted. stabbing the drama is the BEST album by far because its' DIFFERENT first two albums.....terrible. stop clinging to the old stuff. stabbing the drama is by far the most inventive album they've ever done. there are so many layered keyboards and the guitar and bass tone is MASSIVE. Who doesn't like bass? the choruses sound like nothing that's ever been done. everything about that record is amazing...simply soilwork at their most creative. so what if it doesn't sound like steelbath or natural born chaos? as far as the new album goes i've heard 3 tracks....heluva lot better than sworn....could be my favorite but I'll reserve judgement for when it comes out. Stabbing The Drama is the Best!!!!!!
