song fucking rules so hard.
| |
Awesome song.
Didn't expect synth at all, but it's done well.
| |
super sexy
| |
Song rules, but it's Minus The Bear so who expected anything else.
| |
love it
| |
Different for them, but it is freaking awesome.
| |
fukin awesome awesomeness...
| |
it's a great track, awesome use of synth, but I'm not a fan of all those 'sex related' lyrics, they just stand out as cliche. But the vocal melodies themselves are great and the instrumentals are tight electronically, I hope they don't go further than that with the synth heavy computer stuff, because they hit the limit, needs more guitar. But still, very impressive track.
| |
on the link that has been provided, it says "While the Omnichord occupied Knudson on 'My Time,' his guitar trickery remains at the core of the album", so I bet its as far as it goes..
"The album ranges from the hard-bounce of 'Secret Country,' which Knudson calls "the heaviest thing we've ever recorded..."
this one should be kewl, MtB goin heavy
| |
This album is gonna be so legit. I'm freakin stoked BROS.
this
Didn't expect synth at all, but it's done well.
and this
| |
pretty cool
| |
Awesome.
| |
This album is coming together nicely. I hope they don't give to many songs away before release.
| |
fanboy alerts...song is ok...
| |
caught me off guard. loved it.
| |
bracing for epic
| |
brilliant, love the new sound.
| |
Pretty cool song
| |
Awesome!!
| |
Sounds like they ripped off of Apogee. Decent song though.
| |
willfellmarsy you're a fuc king faggot, go listen to All That Remains some more you pussy.
| |
Song is great...waiting patiently for this album, and with this song and Into The Mirror so far so good.
| |
this is goofy
| |
Awesome.
| |
"willfellmarsy you're a fuc king faggot, go listen to All That Remains some more you pussy"
you're angry, i can tell
| |
HighandDriving: 2 mtb albums are 5s, 3 are 4.5s, and 3 are 4s...omni is one of those 5s...
| |
HighandDriving: likes the band Boys Night Out
| |
cool...a little weird but i love this band
| |
HighandDriving's comment was a bit unnecessary. I have to agree with willfellmarsy in the opinion that Planet of Ice is their best to date.
| |
Typical MtB, the song sounds nice but there is little in the way of substance or hooks.
| |
HighandDriving : has Alanis Morissette at a 5 and defends it and then makes fun of other's music tastes. js.
| |
it's not their best stuff, but it is definitely a new sound and a new approach to their music. i don't mind it, but if they switch from synths to acoustic in the album they'll have one happy fan
| |
Lol @ HighandDriving. Rage.
| |
its not even like i said the song was bad, it could be a nice fit on the album, it just does not "rules so fucking hard" or isn't "fuking awesome awesomeness"...
| |
i really liked it even though it wasn't what i was expecting
| |
its ok. they need more guitar tapping.
| |
"fanboy alerts...song is ok..."
agreed on over-hype. song's pretty sweet though
| |
it's not bad. it's different, which is cool, but i don't want the majority of the new album to use the omnichord over the guitar.
| |
Hoping the rest of the album does NOT sound like this. Tastes decent at best on my tongue.
| |
This was way more memorable than any other MTB song I've heard to be honest, band's never done it for me.
| |
I like this more than most of Planet of Ice
| |
fallacy^^^
| |
Good, not great. Okay single - I didnt like Throwin Shapes too much, which was PoI's single; Omnichord is cool but Dave's guitar skillz are 10000x better. Nonetheless, album will rule.
| |
I think Highly Refined Pirates is by FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR their best album. I'm not expecting them to top it. Ever.
| |
This song just made my night. It's different from the usual stuff but has a very familiar sound from Planet of Ice. Can't wait for the new album.
| |
OK song.
| |
Good as expected.
| |
this was my first encounter with minus the bear.... god i need more of their stuff
| |
menos El oso was my favorite, I didn't like Planet of Ice
| |
The singer sounds so much like Peter Gabriel in this song.
| |
Song rules, but it's Minus The Bear so who expected anything else.
Big 123 there. I love this band. Super happy that Omni is coming out 25 days before Sasquatch so I have time to learrrrrrn the songs haha.
| |
awesome song, can't wait for this to drop.
| |
I've always felt that they make beer commercials like this was their best. Anyone else?
The song is pretty fresh and memorable. I'm stoked for the album
| |
Beer Commercials is fantastic, just like all their albums. I dig that Dave used the Japanese Omnichord, but I will be expecting some of that disgusting guitar to come up frequently on this album. Thought the chorus was catchy as hell.
| |
Love the guitar in the background. Love his voice. Wow, just makes my stomach hurt for the new album...
| |
I usually skip Throwin' Shapes; this would be a better single. The way it's described, though, makes it sound like the band used the song as a chance to mess around with the Omnichord. So it probably won't even be close to the best song on the album.
| |
willfellmarsy please get off my site, you like SOAD, so find some nu-metal site and keep shoving dildos up your ass.
| |
how about u just fukin stop trying to deliberately offend each other due to their music taste.. talk about the song ;c
| |
I was really hoping for Minus The Bear to keep crushing on the chill prog sound of Planet of Ice for a while. Omni is gonna be a step back into the "collection of songs we wrote this year" style that POI finally broke. With a whole song written around a glorified keyboard and another that is a shuffled, inverted remix of the song before it, I'm not expecting the focus and quality that made Planet of Ice the best of their career. My two cents
| |
Yeah, that whole backwards guitar sample sounds like a bad/lazy idea.. but it could be cool - MtB usually know what sounds good.
| |
H&D trying to troll = fail
| |
The synth changes things up.
Sounds pretty good.
| |
that was pretty okay
| |
