Bobby Charles Dies 2010-01-15 by Thompsonhunt | 9 Comments | Singer and acclaimed songwriter Bobby Charles died on January 14 at the age of 71.
Charles was best known for writing hit songs for other artists, including Fats Domino 'Walking To New Orleans,' however he also released a self-titled solo album with singles 'Street People' and 'Later, Alligator,' the latter of which was more successfully covered by Bill Haley & His Comets.
