Metallica Off To Korea

2006-08-11 by Stormy Smiley Face | 18 Comments
August 15 is a date that people in South Korea, namely Seoul, will remember for a while, that is if they are fans of the highly influential metal band Metallica.

It's been announced that as part of a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Master of Puppets" the band will be playing in the city of Seoul at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium.

Eight years ago was when the band last went to Sout Korea and played to 35,000 people.

"It was shocking to see Korean fans sing with us throughout the concert," said James Hetfield in an interview. "I thought here are true Metallica fans."

Tool will appear as guest performers for the concert to support their latest release, "10,000 Days".

Next time Metallica does a US tour my wallet is going to hate me. I still have not seen them live and it is just killing me.

While funny. South Korea is on our side of the Korean conflict.

this should be interesting, but,
metallica with maiden and megadeth (not that megadeth-metallica has ANY chance)
thats one kick ass 80s metal concert
tool is a pretty good choice though

I am suprised Tool would agree to open for Metallica. Didn't think it would be their style...

^^ As much as I love Tool I don't think that would be realistic. "South Korean metalheads get the best show of their lives" should have been the title. FREAKIN METALLCIA AND TOOL!!!

Yeah, in a perfect world, Metallica would open for Tool. Actually, I don't think Metallica would exist in a perfect world.
