I actually hate ABBA, with a fervor I save for few other musicians, though I
respect them cause they were influential as fuck. Plus most of their synth lines are amazing.
But to answer your question, yes, ABBA is pretty well received in the Yeti community. We've got a soft spot for Sweden, I think it's the snow...and Vikings.

Finally, The Stooges. It took the passing of Ron Asheton for the band to get the respect they deserve. Glad to finally hear this is actually going to happen to the world's forgotten boy.

Oh right, so you mean the album "From Genesis to Revelation" (1969) which is their only album without Collins and was average at best...
FAIL! Collins was a member since 1970 and featured in their best albums. Also, if you meant Collins on vocals, then you're wrong again as he did vocals before Gabriel left and since taking charge on lead vocals Genesis made 2 incredible albums. "A Trick of the Tail" and "Wind and Wuthering" showed that they could still write amazing songs without Gabriel. I think you should rephrase that "I hope they mean prog-Genesis and not pop-Genesis."

Basically my point is it's irrelevant what period they mean. Even though this whole Hall of Fame thing is a complete farse, it's still important that they get the recognition they deserve. They are afterall one of most important bands in the history of music!
