hmmmm. Well I'll save my final judgements until after a few listens, and probably until I hear it all in context to the record, as is the way to listen to Kayo Dot, but after one listen: What the fuck was that? It got interesting in the second half, but the first half was annoying.

I love the music, but I hate how Toby's vocals keep getting uglier. He sang beautifully on Choirs and was pretty tolerable on BLD, but if all his vocals on the new album are like this it might be the first album of his that I dislike.

I'm loving this. The rhythm, the horns, etc.

Definitely all over this. It reminds me SO MUCH of the "Dowsing" material with the use of meandering/general space. Bodie's drumming gave me a hard-on, as well.

^yeah it's definitely coming back to dowsing with the ambience of it all, but the woodwinds still give it that psychedelic BLD kick. Really dark and rhythmic.
It's kick ass.

I guess this is gonna be like BLD, an album I listened to stoned. I hope there is at least one eventful track on the album. Anyway still stoked about this.
