Dredg Perform With Rushdie

2009-10-09 by Prophet178 | 19 Comments
San Francisco progressive rock act dredg were recently given the opportunity to perform with their literary muse, Salman Rushdie, in New York City.

The event, organised by Spin magazine, saw Rushdie read portions from his essay 'Imagine There's No Heaven,' with dredg providing musical accompaniment in the latter stages. The band then finished the evening by performing three songs from their latest record, The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion.

The event raised $5,000 for NYC-based AIDS charity Housing Works.
