Sharon Strikes again 2006-07-07 by heavy metal kid | 16 Comments | Sharon Osbourne insists the Ozzfest music festival remains true to its heavy metal history, while other bands such as Pearl Jam, have become too mainstream.
The feisty wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, believes that while many acts have mellowed in their old age, hardcore rock fans are loyal purists, deserving of an appropriate line-up.
She explains, "Love Pearl Jam. But Pearl Jam is now like the Gap crowd. The baggy trousers."
"It's a date. It's nice, lovely music. You know, there is this whole other world out there."
"But people are snobbish and don't want to mix with it. We love those people! We embrace them! They are as loyal as they can be."

ozzfest seriously helped out nu metal at one point and for that point, sharon should be burned (and of course for her sacreligious treatment of maiden, since MAIDEN>>>OZZY).
and whats wrong with pearl jam?! i bought their greatest hits the other day having only heard a few songs, and their "heaviness" (or lack thereof, the songs seem to be more about the feel than the impact, which is great) is pretty consistent throughout, as is the high quality songwriting and musicianship. and a band that barely ever makes videos can hardly be considered mainstream either. unlike the osbourne family, who love broadcasting their depressingly "OTT" lives constantly. wankers.This Message Edited On 07.09.06
