Yawning Man live DVD/album 2020-09-05 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 6 Comments | Desert rock pioneers, Yawning Man will release their first DVD, Live at Giant Rock on October 30. Essentially, this is a brand new album presented by the band in a live format, performed without an audience at the "Giant Rock" in Southern California. The songs will also be released separately on LP, CD and digital download by Heavy Psych Records.
Regarding the DVD, Yawning Man mentioned: "In the spirit of Pink Floyd’s “Live at Pompeii” the performance is shot on location at Giant Rock with no audience. The concept is to pair the bands beautiful music with the dramatic natural landscapes. The band's outdoor desert performances are legendary and this film is the first artfully composed representation of that experience."
