What's the #1 favorite not-a-screamo-band screamo band?
| |
....meh? that felt really safe
| |
Nice. Stage 4 was fantastic.

What's the #1 favorite not-a-screamo-band screamo band? [2]
| |
La Dispute obvs
| |
Hmmm, makes sense. Is Pianos Become the Teeth third?
| |
sucks
| |
miss when it was cool to like the greatest phxc band of our generation, but whatever. more for me.
| |
Well, this just made my day :] :] :]
| |
Song sounded great live as well
| |
Good stuff. Not Stage Four good, but it would take a whole damn lot to get back there again.
| |
love the new song, the mix and guitars caught me very off guard though. also for the comments i left that first sentence bit in to poke fun about how Touché are always pushed aside usually for La Dispute and are always given a little bit of shit for not being “”””real skramz”””” but i thought it was gonna get deleted lol anyways hoping for a new alb next year or this year
| |
I'm stoked too my dude, anddddddd
Touche>La Dispute
| |
song rules. these guys are great
| |
"Not Stage Four good, but it would take a whole damn lot to get back there again."
this isn't even Is Survived By good
| |
Sounds like a B side off Stage Four but it’s still pretty good. Jeremy’s vox are on point here. Also Pianos>Touche>La Dispute
| |
"Sounds like a B side off Stage Four but it’s still pretty good. Jeremy’s vox are on point here. Also Pianos>Touche>La Dispute"
I tend to switch around Pianos and Touche every so often, depends on my mood lol. mewithoutYou over ALL though :]
| |
Idk If I listen to this I would rather listen to an actual screamo band. mewithoutYou. over all [2]
| |
mewithoutYou is too weird for me lol. Maybe I need to jam their shit again.
| |
first 2 Piano records>Touche>La Dispute>everything else>latest 2 Piano records
| |
mewithoutYou is definitely a grows-on-you-type band. Or at least they were for me. I hated Catch for Us the Foxes when I first heard it.
| |
brosephmcbrah has the best take so far here tbh but yall still schleepin on Is Survived By
| |
that is the worst fucking take ever wym
| |
Man this song is still really good, Stage Four was amazing but this doesn't seem like that much of a decline compared to that record
| |
Touche is easily the best band out of them, Pianos, and La Dispute. Both of those bands have gone full neutered anyways.
| |
"miss when it was cool to like the greatest phxc band of our generation, but whatever. more for me."
honestly just gagged
| |
solid song. and La Dispute is easily the best of them
| |
song's great, loving the guitars
| |
lol get that shit out of there Touche shits all over all of them. Stage Four > all dispute, pianos etc
| |
Thought this was a Record Store Day release
| |
first 2 Piano records>Touche>La Dispute>everything else>latest 2 Piano records [2]
| |
I feel bad for Jeremy's throat. dude won't be able to talk by the time he's 40
| |
the lack long after is best
| |
Wildlife>Lack Long After>Stage Four>Old Pride>everything else by all three bands.
| |
Is Survived By > Stage Four > Lack Long After > Rooms of the House > Whatever else they have done
| |
if u don't like new pianos sound u can literally eat my steaming shit. also touche rules.
| |
Moving Mountains is my favorite band of all time. I literally have a flag of them hung on my wall. I love every song they've made, even their newer stuff. So in theory this new Pianos sound should be right up my alley.. but they just don't do it very good. It's so boring and tedious.
| |
Good song.
| |
Stage Four was perfect. Can’t see them making another classic
| |
Agreed. The consistently excellent songwriting combined with the circumstances surrounding the vocalist's mother, means it'll be almost impossible for them to top Stage Four.
| |
Which is okay, I'm honestly surprised Stage Four only averaged a 4 here.
| |
averaging a 4 is pretty impressive on sput
| |
is survived by > wildlife ~~ the lack long after > stage four > old pride ~~ dead horse > everything else by the bands
| |
Lack Long After > Stage Four > Wildlife would have to be my top three.
| |
that’s fair, they’ve def all shifted over the years but this seems to be the one that’s been sticking the longest ¯_(ツ)_/¯
| |
While not my favourite Touché Amore song by any means, this is still pretty damn awesome. I may be biased though as they are my second favourite band of all time (with Funeral for a Friend taking the top spot). Really looking forward to seeing them play this when they come over to the UK in July.
As for Pianos, I thought Keep You was pretty great, but Wait For Love was a dull pile of wank.
| |
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair > Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me > Searching for a Pulse - The Worth of the World
I consider Stage Four TA's weakest release. Seems like you guys have a different opinion.
Song is cool.
| |
idk the drums for pianos are still dope as shit and the attitude on this one was different and kyle was different vocally and not as sleepy so i fucked w it
| |
somewhere at the bottom of the river>wildlife>all touche amore>all pianos>rooms of the house
| |
mewithoutYou>Touché Amoré>Pianos Become The Teeth>La Dispute>Defeater
| |
They're better Darius
| |
Holy hell did this grow on me. Scratch what I said about this being a B-Side I REALLY hope the new album sounds like this.
| |
yeah once i got over the chugging guitar chords, i realized how fuckin phenomenal every single aspect of this song is tbh like guys that bass part?? godtier
| |
"Is Survived By > Stage Four > Lack Long After > Rooms of the House > Whatever else they have done"
what the crap is this ranking
| |
The rankings are all over the place. But if it has to be JUST TA/PBTT/LD, excluding EP's & demos, then mine is as follows...
Parting The Sea Between Brightness And Me>Wait For Love>Is Survived By>Keep You>Stage Four>The Lack Long After>Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River Between Vega And Altair>To The Beat Of A Dead Horse>Rooms Of The House>Wildlife>Old Pride
