Parliament's new single 2018-01-20 by JP Patino Izquierdo | 14 Comments | After decades without new material, George Clinton's Parliament released the first single of their upcoming album Medicaid Fraud Dog a couple of days ago. It is the band's first song in 38 years.
The single goes by the name of "I'm Gon Make U Sick O'Me" and features Geto Boys rapper Scarface, though it still retains the P-Funk style that turned the Parliament/Funkadelic projects into some of the biggest legends in funk music.
The group's new album will have Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis, Greg Thomas and Benny Cowan on its lineup.
Clinton cites artists such as Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar as influences for this new material.
