Owl City set to release new EP

2014-06-13 by SPRFanOf5H | 26 Comments
Owl City will release his latest EP, Ultraviolet this June 27th.

Young has stated that this will be the first of a "series of EPs" he'll be throwing
to the masses in 2014, going down that route rather than releasing one large recording of
songs. His first single, 'Beautiful Times', featuring violinist Lindsey Stirling, will be
featured on the EP and is out now on iTunes and Google Play.

More info on Owl City's new set of material can be found on his official website, including
the official track listing and the cover art along with a teaser snippet from his next
single 'Wolf Bite'.

Somebody needed to cover that, and I ain't gonna let shit like that go unnoticed! Haha but really his new material really fucking is terrible, especially the one with Stirling.

I'm sure there is Owl City fans out there on Sputnik, show yourselves.

Owl City fan of Sputnik showing myself

except actually I was one of the few people who thought Ocean Eyes was actually pretty good and Maybe I'm Dreaming was one of my first Sput reviews but he's sucked since then irredeemably badly

Read your Owl City reviews man, wayy before joining and they were pretty good. Agreed with Ocean Eyes and Maybe I'm Dreaming being his best material, but that's it sadly.

Not expecting much from this EP, reviewing this tho before anybody does so prepare yourselves haha

Yeah, Maybe I'm Dreaming and Ocean Eyes are pretty underrated. Water's Ocean Eyes review pretty much says exactly what I think

I'm okay with Owl City. It's fluffy fun innocent pop music. Ocean Eyes was good, I felt. There were a few good songs on All Things Bright and Beautiful, but its sappy way-too-optimistic side dragged it down. The Midsummer Station just sucked, flat out. I'm just hoping this EP returns to Oceans Eyes style.
