Song is decent I guess
Song is decent, guilty all the same and rebellion are still best things of the new disc
GATS > Rebellion > Masquerade > Wastelands >>>>>>>>>>>>> UNTIL IT'S GONE
they might as well stream the whole album already since half of it is available for listening.
Geez, just stream the whole album why don't ya?
Song is good, but could've been a lot better.
Digging: Ice Nine Kills - The Silver Scream
Rebellion > GATS > Until It's Gone > Masquerade >>>>>>>>>>>>> Wastelands
I swear I'm the only one actually likes Wastelands. True, it's the worst of the bunch so far, but still.
Wastelands>Until It's Gone
Wastelands is absolute garbage, Until It's Gone actually has some sick music behind it.
Everyone's a critic
lol, it just feels to me like a half assed LP song that they half assed.
I liked Wastelands enough.
well, I guess I'm not the only one then.
Wastelands is better than this. This is quite an average rock song really, wastelands had a bit more going for it imo
I think they're a bit upset over the lack of radio success they found with GATS
This was bland
so am I the only one who likes this?
I like it
GATS > Until It's Gone > Rebellion > Wasteland > this
This song is just SO sterile sounding. Wasteland has decent parts but isn't spectacular. Guilty all the Same is pretty cool, and until it's gone sounds like standard linkin park. Rebellion is catchy but doesn't really go anywhere.
The production on all of the songs is AWFUL though.
IT'S NOT THE OFFICIAL PRODUCTION
This album doesn't seem to be anything like they said it would be.
What do you mean? These are officially released so they should have the official production.
The iTunes has the best production I was told
All these songs that were released so far are the lightest on the album according to the band and reviewers.
Except for GATS and Rebellion, and yeah that's what I've heard
The Botch + Meshuggah influences Mike was talking about can't be on these songs, come on now.
Can't wait to hear A Line In The Sand, I'm a sucker for long album closers and this is supposedly their best.
Can't wait for War, man. 2 minutes of anger
although The Little Things Give You Away was a long closer and look what that did to them
It was one of the better songs of MTM.
Eh, it was pretty boring and overdrawn,
Little things was the only decent ballad of MTM, the rest were very bad or boring as hell
in pieces, LOATR (tho minority)
In Pieces, TLTGYA, and Valentines Day were the top ballads imo
Valentines Day is in the middle
TLTGYA was the only good one, LOATR is like some shitty clone of savage garden, valentines day is like a really bad carbon copy of my december, in pieces is lame and in between is atrocius
LOATR is the best song on MTM ok
This isn't the official production because they want to stop people downloading songs illegally for free with good quality. The iTunes versions or Spotify versions have better production I think.
Yeah Spotify definitely
I don't see whats wrong with the production. It sounds nice and raw compared to Living Things. It actually sounds pretty similar to their first two albums. My major complaint is that Chester's vocals just don't seem as powerful but that may be what they're going for.
Guilty had pretty powerful vocals
Chester lost some guts during the recording of this album.
Let me listen to that one again.
Better than expected. Still average
Chester tweeted that the album comes out in Germany tomorrow. Leak incoming.
After hearing Rebellion, this song was a total disappointment.
Finally a song on this album thats actually good (Besides GATS)
Might as well stream this stuff since almost all of its online now :/
I read a detailed, lengthy interview with the guitarist/rapper a couple weeks ago and he said "The Hunting Party" was going to be their heaviest album. It seems to be quite the opposite so far. But I gotta say I like this song the best so far. It's obviously not as heavy, but it's really catchy which none of the other singles are so far.
Is it just me or Chester sounds really bad on this song? The music is fine, but for some reason I can't stand Chester's vocals.
His vocals have been awful on all the tracks so far except maybe Rebellion.
Chorus is awful...
Digging: The Story So Far - Proper Dose
Each of the 5 tracks so far have had decent instrumentals.
It's just a shame about the lyrics and their delivery...
Terrible. I'd even go so far as to say worst song by them to date.
There's literally nothing characteristic about this song.
A bunch of riffs, a drum beat and a guy constantly singing 5 notes up n' down.
Same pattern and so exhausting to listen to.
As if it's already meant to be the soundtrack of some upcoming transformers movie.
It actually sounds pretty similar to their first two albums. My major complaint is that Chester's vocals just don't seem as powerful but that may be what they're going for.
It sounds nothing like their first two albums. Those albums were slick and polished sounding, just like the three that came after it, and that's the sound I always associated with Linkin Park. This sounds like a demo.
Well wasn't this quite bland?
I feel the album will have some growth power (GATS, Wastelands), but damn half of the album is out and yet there isn't even one great track so far (good ≠ great).
All for Nothing just leaked.
Best song out of all of them so far, because Chester isn't singing.
Another polarized song by LP, I ain't surprised.
"All for Nothing just leaked."
Oh yeah, a giant filler is what the album needs!
Yeah, that's not the song :D
All for Nothing is a song with Page Hamilton
@misho87: I'm relieved, I guess. I'm curious about the final product (speaking of the album as a whole) but I don't have high expectations anymore.
I guess i can't give the link for the song to download, do i ?
song is ... ok at best.. it's more like a punk-rock song (and for whatever reason song reminds me of P.O.D. and little bit of Sum-41), i don't even know where does PH sing in that.. there's a ok guitar solo in it and Mike does most the singing
All for Nothing sounds like a mash between POD and Helmet. Got that 90s vibe.
A guitar solo? Well, isn't it refreshing from Linkin Park? The one from "In Pieces" was very pleasant to hear.
The entire album leaked, bitches. Check it.
Full album just leaked
Checkin' it in about 30 minutes, if you know what I mean.
Keys to the Kingdom, holy shit. Has to be their best song ever.
link to album?
Well fuck me.. album is pretty good - Keys to the Kingdom, War, Mark the Graves and Line in the Sand, all are great suprises
The singles that have been released are easily the weakest songs on the album (except Rebellion).
What a surprise, this album is actually great.
Digging: Black Peaks - All That Divides
Line in the Sand - What Victimized should have been??
Oh, so there really is some decent screaming.
So they finally did the real follow up to Meteora holy shit this is good
I'm pretty sure this is their best album yet.
Damn, "War" sounds so Bad Religion.
Holy Fuck. Holy Fuck, Holy Fuuuck, Getting this now!
Sabrutin: "Damn, "War" sounds so Bad Religion."
or like some punk/hardcore song from Beastie Boys :D
@misho87: One thing is sure... I like it!
holy shit Keys To The Kingdom
gotta find this leak
It's streaming on iTunes:
This and Guilty All The Same are cool. Rest are meh.
someone make a news article about the stream please, so we don't have to talk about it here?
oh cmon. itunes? seriously?
Digging: mewithoutYou - [Untitled]
Lol, better than nothing if you ask me.
not when you don't have an apple device and can't use itunes at work.
well in that case...
First two tracks and the final one are actually really great. Love Page's chorus in All for Nothing...best clean vocal
performance on the album...
yea 15 year old me is pretty upset right now.
Holy fuck this is actually awesome.
Wastelands, GATS, and LITS all have a very similar chorus, they had to have done that on purpos
"The heavy shit right there"
"The heavy shit right here?"
i see what they did there
Album is great, expected more of all for nothing tbh
War is my favorite so far. I'm on Until It's Gone right now.
I've liked none of the tracks released thus far so safe to say i'm done with this band forever.
Digging: Coheed and Cambria - The Unheavenly Creatures
Feeling a high 3.5 or a 4 on first few listens
Apart from some godawful lyrics here and there, this rules pretty hard.
Yeah, but they've never been exactly lyrical geniuses anyways, so it doesn't kill the record for me
Unfortunately the new album is probably a 3 for me. Seems repetitive and just being heavy for the sake of being heavy.
Only got to hear a couple of tracks before my sister nearly killed me for listening to music when she was home. But from that I heard it'll probably be a 3-3.5
5 singles before they release the goddamn album?
Digging: Tim Hecker - Konoyo
Yeah, Keys To The Kingdom is definitely a great surprise, I don't know if it's to early to say this but to me, it seems like it's their best since Meteora.
Keys to the kingdom m/
All for nothing too damn
All the 320kbps downloads are the clean version... :/
I dont think there's an explicit version out anywhere yet.
Um... where did the album go on the band page?
I love how halfway through this thread it was like...MEH...song sucks...this album isn't what we want...I have no hope for these guys ever again....they lied to us.....nothing but soft songs
And then the album leaks and the rest of this thread is HOLYT FUCKIGN SH*IT I CAN:T BELUIEVF QHAT I AM HEATING HOLY MOITHERFUCKING JESUS ON CHRISTMAS DAY THIS IS WHAT IVE ALWAYS WHAYNTESD FUCK FYUCKINGH YEASHH
War and bad religion you say
@Impervious: Speaking for myself, I just said something about "War", which was also a song that we could not hear before the leak.
@Green Baron: yeah, Suffer period.
Yeah, I hear it
The 256kbps version I got seems to have the screaming but I haven't heard the 320kbps version to be certain it's the full explicit version.
why don't they just release the album then lol.
