Have you guys heard the Elves Beam Out song. It's alright. I think it's growing on me. Out of the four tracks they've released I like this one the least, but it's not bad and I'm still stoked for the album

Yeah I'm not really feeling this. I really hope they're just fucking with us and releasing the worst tracks as pre-releases because this isn't doing much for me.

Time to go listen to Integral Birth on repeat...

More and more, this album sounds like a weird Cynic/Aeon Spoke hybrid that's just wrong.

I like this one better than Kindly Bent (the track) and Lion's Roar. I'm still worried about the album as a whole, though. The lyrics on all 3 tracks seem to be fighting against the instrumentation. It wasn't like that at all on Focus or Traced.

I love how every piece of news I post somehow doesn't get posted and then later in the day gets posted by someone else.

The lyrics don't flow so well at all. Big Cynic fan but this is just meh.

Have you guys heard the Elves Beam Out song. It's alright.

Elves beam out is from Carbon Based Anatomy.

Anyways, listening to the song. Pretty good so far. Not quite as good as Traced in Air but that's okay. I also really enjoyed the title track, but not so much the first one.

The song really isn't bad. Sure, its a little more wishy washy, a little less concise and a bit confusing in the lyrics, but it definitely still is cynic. They're getting deeper into prog, and they're trying different things. I think this song may strike as a bit odd on its own, but should fit well in the flow of the album.

No need to pass judgement after one listen guys... we all know thats what we hate about the mainstream audience....

It's a great song. Think I prefer both the others ones at the moment. I hope this is the last song they release before the album... I like the dominance of the bass, provides such a strong backbone.

I can't believe some of these lyrics are actually a thing. Paul might have gotten a bit too high this time around.

Honestly this is my favorite track that has released so far. I don't see why people are hating on this album so quickly. Its no TiA or Focus but its a natural progression from what they've been doing.

Each song has been less appealing, I must say, but I'm going to reserve my judgements for the album as a whole. I feel like at this point it sounds like their weakest, yet most experimental. Agree about comments saying the vox and guitars are conflicting. The lyrics almost sound like a parody of themselves at points.
Still have hope! I'm sure I will enjoy it just doesn't sound as good as I'd hoped.

I didn't mind the bass in the other releases, but this sounds like crap and I don't like the lyrics- or really the vocals at all.
Thumbs up to Kindly Bent to Free Us
No thumbs to Lion's Roar
Thumbs down to True Hallucination Speak

Still hoping.
