Love this band, going to listen.

lost interest after undoing ruins.
| |
Album is Sick.
The Fuck IT Period.
| |
This is actually really good...
Savor the Kill is awesome.
| |
Man & Swine fucking rules
| |
hope it's up to par with deliver us
| |
havent really listened to these guys after undoing ruin, maybe later tonight i'll check this out
| |
much better than the eternal return
| |
don't know why so many people quit on them after undoing ruin, cuz that one and deliver us were the band's best. liking this a lot more than the eternal return but i haven't gotten all the way through yet.
| |
not sure about it. initial thoughts were average, but it is better than eternal return.
| |
i didnt give TER much attention, so ill be doing that and listening to this. its good so far.
| |
silent, i do agree that undoing ruin was their "pussiest" album haha, but in spite of the straying from their original sound they had some really good songs on it. for me though, deliver us is still easily their best. i think they've figured out how to go along without kris norris anymore, though their recent stuff still is lacking norris' style, which is pretty noticeable, especially on the solos. but gotdamn, love as a weapon is a quality song
| |
kind of like this better than the eternal return.
| |
didn't really deliver much, idk i guess i've grown out of this band
| |
well check this out eventually. might review if no one else does. band is usually solid.
| |
I won't enjoy writing this review
| |
The Eternal Return is probably my favorite album of all time. About to listen to this, if they can top it I'll be in ecstacy.
| |
if they can top it I'll be in ecstacy.
yeah, its called Deliver Us
| |
It's a good album, but ever since they released Deliver Us I've been a bit disappointed with the albums that followed. This is good, and so was The Eternal Return... but the riffs and solos on Deliver Us were just amazing. I keep hoping they'll go back to writing songs like that but it never ends up happening. And where's the epic guitar solo on this album?!?! The solo's in Tunguska and The Tides both blew my mind, but there isn't a stand out eargasm inducing solo on this album. Makes me sad.
| |
Deliver Us is good sure, but it just doesn't have that same angry and heavy sound that makes TER so good. It's like with Deliver us they'd begun to lose all the speed and energy of their early albums, and with The Eternal Return it came back better than ever.
| |
this is the first melo-death album in a while to perk my interests
| |
Undoing Ruin sucked guys.
Have a feeling this will be a 3-3.5 just like The Eternal Return was. Will listen eventually.
| |
yes yes yes. listening now.
| |
I'll listen to this tomorrow to tired right now.
| |
Hooray for cliche intro, so pumped
| |
Gotta say, I'm impressed with John' vocals on this one. He's always been one of my favorites, but some of the stuff he tried on this album is pretty awesome. I didn't think anyone could pull off a scream that manages to sound melodic enough to almost sound like singing, but he does it pretty well.
| |
After one listen I definitely like it, especially more than TER. They aren't gonna top Deliver Us, but there is some great stuff on here.
What's with all the Undoing Ruin hate here? People are saying that was their "pussiest" release but Deliver Us was certainly softer as an album. Demons, Ethereal Drain, and Paradox were softer than anything on UR with the exception of the interludes. The production on UR is quite a bit more abrasive as well.
But anyways, album needs some time to grow for sure. I definitely see myself spinning this a lot in the future tho.
| |
I can't listen to this for a while cuz my computer's sound is all messed up, is it thrashy at all like Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation?
| |
is it thrashy at all like Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation?
No. It has its thrashy moments but overall it's not at all like Sadist Nation. Seems like a more melodic version of The Eternal Return.
| |
3 songs in and really digging this. much better than The Eternal Return.
| |
Can't get into the vocals. Sorry.
| |
I think his phlegmy roar is what makes the band
| |
eternal return is their best. The Tides is their best song. The rest of the album is close tho.
| |
Album rapes.
| |
album is going to get 18 to life.
| |
Nah, straight to the chair syn
| |
this is up there with deliver us for their best album
| |
This is my opinion, blablabla.
That is all.
| |
Observer coming in with a scathing 1.5 review calling it now
| |
This grew on me a lot. It's actually pretty close to Deliver Us; it may not be as technical but it's got a lot of other stuff going for it.
| |
On first listen, really, really good.
| |
listening to this on campus son
glad I brought my headphones today
| |
they've never really structured a song like "Savor The Kill" before
| |
this is really growing on me. i like it
| |
If you look at the album cover from a distance, it looks like forever alone guy.
| |
Not ready to give final rating, but so far I really like the sound/direction of the album. Was hoping that the rest of the album would more closely follow along similar lines of Savor the Kill though. Can't wait to see them later this month...!
| |
Couldn't get into these guys after Eternal Return.:/
| |
Severed Into Separates is so damn catchy
| |
Listened to a few songs, sounds pretty good.
| |
somebody should write a review. I'm too lazy though
| |
mine will be up this weekend
| |
Is it as good as linkin park?
| |
almost
| |
terra solaris might be one of the best melodeath songs ever written
