16Volt Remix Contest 2009-10-21 by Trey STAFF | 12 Comments | On April 27, 2010 industrial artists 16Volt are going to release a remix album called “American Porn Songs: Remixed” featuring remixes from artists including Tim Skold (SKOLD, Marylin Manson, KMFDM), Jeremy Inkel (Front Line Assembly, Left Spine Down), and Jamie Duffy (Acumen Nation, DJ Accucrack). The band also decided to get the fans involved by allowing them to remix the songs with prizes going to the top 3. The prizes are as follows:
Grand Prize Winner
• A Brand new Schecter “Damien V” Guitar
• A brand new copy of FXpansion’s “BFD2″ premium drum software
• Inclusion of your remix on the upcoming remix CD including links and credits to promote yourself and/or band
• An interview with ReGen Magazine’s website
• A 16volt “Doom Bringer” t-shirt
• A 16volt “American Porn Shirt” t-shirt
• VIP tickets to a show on the upcoming 16volt tour including day entry to the venue to watch setup and soundcheck!
2nd Place
• A chance for Inclusion of your remix on the upcoming remix CD including links and credits to promote yourself and/or band
• A 16volt “Doom Bringer” t-shirt
• A 16volt “American Porn Shirt” t-shirt
• VIP tickets to a show on the 16volt tour including day entry to the venue to watch setup and soundcheck!
3rd place

All Others
• Your song will be made available online for everyone to hear.
The band has supplied separated “zero-start” audio files in wav format that can pretty much be imported into any DAW in existence. Each song folder also has the tempo (bpm) in the file name.
The contest is open until December 15, 2009.
