Carly Rae walks On Wires 2026-06-26 by sncold | 5 Comments | Carly Rae Jepsen has released the first single, "On Wires", from her upcoming double album Day & Night.
"On Wires" will be located on the Day side of the double album. According to press releases, Day will be “organic and raw, with live instrumentation and hints of ’70s-inspired psychedelic pop.”
Meanwhile, the Night half is said to be “exploratory and intense, shifting into a sleek, synth-driven world of dance pop.”

Gonna listen to this more but I have to say, I'm not a big fan of this...
Hoping it grows on me.

I was a bit iffy on it at first, but after a few listens I love it. It's definitely a shift in sound for Carly, and I think the music/instrumentals steals the show here, especially during the chorus. There's also a ton of layers going on in the chorus, so picking out those details has made me appreciate it a ton.
