FoB Vs. The Killers

This is way too funny to retype. Here's the original article.

Fall Out Boy have responded after The Killers attacked the band again this week (June 28).

The two bands have being at loggerheads after The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers citicised his A&R man for working with his rivals last year, and then reignited the feud in this week's issue of NME.

Speaking to NME.COM, Brandon Flowers laid into his rivals, declaring "There's a creature inside me that wants to beat all those (emo) bands to death", before adding that "You don't realise what you could be getting yourself into with Fall Out Boy... Emo, pop-punk, whatever you want to call it, is dangerous."

However speaking to MTV News, Fall Out Boy leader Pete Wentz has said that despite Flowers' comments, he's a fan of The Killer.

"Honestly, I like Brandon a lot from what I've read in interviews," said Wentz. "He's sharp. I don't think people would take as much notice (of his comments) if he wasn't. I respect that."

Wentz added that he actually enjoyed Flowers' recent words.

"I kinda like how he called Fall Out Boy 'dangerous'. It felt like how Ice called Maverick 'dangerous' in 'Top Gun'." He said. "I kind of think of it this way: How could you feel like a superhero if you didn't have an arch-nemesis?"

Wentz added that he in fact got Flowers' family and friends into Fall Out Boy shows, and his only real objection to what has happened is The Killers' assertation that the two bands have never met.

"We met a couple of times," explained Wentz, suggesting the Las Vegas band perhaps didn't realise who they were being introduced to. "I think they maybe tried to order drinks from us at the MTV Video Music Awards, because they thought we were waiters. The drummer (Ronnie Vannucci) was really nice though."

The Killers are inferior in every way possible.

Pete Wentz seems to have won with the wits and all.

Like SCREAM, don't really listen to either, so i can't really judge which is better (though personally from what I have heard, The Killers' music is more appealing to me, while FOB has better mastery of hooks considering how damn catchy their songs are.)

According to this, Wentz definitely won the battle by not making an ass out of himself like this Flowers fellow did. Sounds like a sharp guy, twisting it to make him sound like the eternal optimist: "I kinda like how he called Fall Out Boy 'dangerous'...I kind of think of it this way: How could you feel like a superhero if you didn't have an arch-nemesis?" Sly bugger isn't he?

Both bands are terrible in some way. The Killers calling FoB Dangerous might be kind of similar to my view on that kind of band. Making depression fashionable does seem slightly dagerous to me. That said, so does making disco-pop that makes ur brain shut down. Moral dilemma! This Message Edited On 06.30.06

That guy isn'st ''sharp'' at all, he says that they are DANGEROUS and he wants to BEAT THEM TO DEATH. He isnt sharp enough to notice that huge contradiction.

Fall out boy didnt notice though, they are both horribley boring bands, so Im not fussed about this feud.

I like Wentz anyway, hes a funny guy. Hes also very intelligent, and this was a very well pulled of media statement (whether truthful or not), because now The Killers just look like idiots.

Besides, havent The Killers realised that crappy Brit Pop is a dangerous thing?

This really proves Flowers is a raging idiot and doesn't know anything about music. Or err emo. Damn bastard calling Fall out Boy emo.

^I really, really, really dislike fall out boy and I'am barely able to withstand the killers, but at least now we know why they make bad music.

......and I actually think emo music is better than both these bandsThis Message Edited On 07.04.06

Actually, I kinda have to give props to Wentz for putting up with that bull**** so well. Flowers, on the other hand, was being an idiot. Can the statement that Flowers said about beating all of the FoB-like bands be considered a threat?
